Awww...I've missed KDW, glad to see a new project!

My eyes will be wide open watching out for this...LOL.

I just realized that not only has this been a good year for dramas, it hasn't been bad for movies either!

Weeeeee!

First of all, Song Kang Ho's an amazing actor. Seen some of his movies and he really eats up the screen. No doubt of his acting ability.

Second, Kang Dong Won's another up and rising talent. I've seen ALL of his movies and I can safely conclude that he's an amazing movie actor with overflowing charisma and screen presence. Can't say much about his dramas, but his movies, so not to be missed.

Third, movie to be directed by Rough Cut's director! YAY! Loved Rough Cut, thought the direction was on par with SJS and KJH's acting in the movie. They were working on a very low budget and yet managed to emerge and bloom amongst all those big hits last year. I trust Jang Hoon will be able to make the best out of this pairing - once again, create another SJS-KJH sensation.

I second ripgal, KDW movies are not to be missed. Btw, I think an official name of this movie is A Secret Reunion. It is definitely another magnetic movie with a big stars and directed by a talented director .. Really interesting!!

2009 is a marked a great comback year of KDW. I just cant wait to see him on screen again!!

Really liked the direction in 'Rough Cut' - so will be keeping an eye out for this one! Interesting pairing of acting heavyweight Song Kang-ho and Kang Dong-won.

Speaking of Kang Dong-won - can someone please explain to me the storyline of "Romance of Their Own (aka Temptation of Wolves or True Romance) " ? I had picked it up a few yrs ago due to hearing people rave about it. Watched a version with really really nonsense subs, so nothing made sense. Hope someone can help solve the mystery for me - thanks :)

Hmm.. let me see.. I saw this movie 2 years ago, might miss out some important points.

So this girl played by Lee Cheong Ah moved to the city from the country to live with her step-sister and mother. If I remember correctly, her mother re-married, and for some reason I forgot, she decided to move in with them. So she met 2 guys in her new school. A school gangster played by Jo Han Sun, and the other, Jo Han Sun's rival played by Kang Dong Won (in short, 2 supperrr hot guys!). Kang Dong Won happened to be somehow related to Lee Cheong Ah's character (I forgot how, I think the son borne from her father's subsequent marriage? Don't remember...but they were related.)

So the triangle happens. Both guys fell in love with the girl. Typical. But Kang Don Won's position was different because he was LCA's dongsaeng, and LCA only saw him as a lil good brother. Helped him out and stuff. So it kinda pained KDW when he saw his sister hang out and subsequently fall in love with the other guy, his rival. He tried to hint LCA of his feelings but she failed to get him. Then he got into fights and stuff, hurt his eye or something? I know there was something wrong with his eyes.

Towards the end, he decided to leave Seoul and go abroad or something. LCA was sad to see him leave but eventually let him explore the world himself. Postcards and videos were sent occasionally, but nobody really knew his whereabouts. Something like that... and LCA found out about how his brother loved her. Cried at the very end.

I think that was it. Somebody feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Got most of the story right. But, KDW's character was not the brother born of a subsequent marriage but an illegitimate child of LCA's father. When they were young they were allowed to meet. KDW was informed that he was going to meet his noona but LCA had no idea that the shy boy she met when she was young was/is her blood brother.

Their second encounter under the umbrella was my favorite scene. Anyway, KDW fell in love with his sister, an honest yet unacceptable feeling under society's rule. When the other guy and the sister hook up, he decides to leave to Australia. He left because of his feelings and also because he had a terminal disease and doesn't want his sister to know. He keeps sending videos to tell her that he is well and have several women with him when in fact he is dying and on the last vid he tells his feeelings in a very touching way.

By the way: I also saw all of Kang Dong Won's movies except for the 2 yet to be released. I'm wishing that the rumor about "Lady Castle" casting him as lead hero comes to fruition. At least, I would have a drama and 2 films to tide me over while he does his duty for his country.

I didn't expect to like Rough Cut as much as I did. SJS exceeded my expectations. His acting was pitch perfect.
I love KDW.....he was great as the Sad Eyes of the audacious The Duelist. He is lucky to get a chance to act with the great Song Kang Ho.

KDW given an interview during 'M' promo period that he wish to make at least 2 and preferably 3 movies if he could before going to the military service. Rarely chance to do any drama bcoz he only focused on movies to enhance his acting skills. His name was mentioned for leading actor in LC is just remour :(

His two upcoming movies, A Secret Renuin and Joen Woo Chi are planned to release in OCT and DEC 2009 respectively, so there is a high possibility that he might postpone his enlistment until next year in order to finish the whole promo events. ^^
