During weekends I'm enjoying Job Well Done, though Chae Rim's character seems to be the weakest point now. But besides that; acting is great, not boring at all, good pace. And cute Kim Seung Soo helps a lot; not a typical hottie but catches your heart in an instant! Fine family image.

I'm fully enjoying it. It's not innovative or anything but it is good typical kdrama and there an an attention to detail that I like.

It's the only drama I am watching nowadays. I'm so exhausted after BOF.

Strike Love is diffrently an entertaining drama. It's alot more entertaining then all the dramas shown on Wedesday, Thurdsdays... right now. There's something about. Is it the compelling story?, the great OST? Don't really know.

Of the weekend fare, I'm watching Strike Love and Brilliant Legacy, and I'm enjoying them both a lot.

Brilliant Legacy pulls me in because it's an enjoyable, well-done bit of fluff; not too serious, but not completely ridiculous either. Plus, Lee Seung-gi is REALLY growing on me; his character's more of a spoiled brat than a bad boy, so a lot of the entertainment factor comes from Han Hyo-joo's character cutting him down to size. Also, Lee Seung-gi is REALLY good at the angrily depressed tears. SO ADORABLE. And Bae Soo-bin.. Mmmm, eye candy. Really sweet, adorable, and talented eye candy, but eye candy nonetheless. I'm still waiting for his character to have a little more dimension, but I have a suspicion that his "fatal" flaw (the one that keeps him from getting the girl) is going to be that he's TOO nice.

One of the things I like about Brilliant Legacy is that it doesn't drag things out. The pacing is pretty good, and there seems to be just the right amount of development to sustain the show for its scheduled 26 episodes. Episode 9 and 10 are where Lee Seung-gi's character starts to change his attitude towards Han Hyo-joo's character, for example, and I think it happens at just the right point in the story, neither too early nor too late.

Also, the kid who plays the younger brother is amazing. For an actor that young, he's really believable as an autistic kid. I'm looking forward to seeing what roles he chooses as he gets older. He's one to watch out for (although I've never seen anything else he's been in, so I could be wrong).

Currently watching Shining Inheritance and Im liking it up till now. Its not outstanding but its a solid show with an interesting if a little predictable plot. And i've been quite impressed by Han Hyo Joo aswell, she seems to be holding up the show for me, not so sure about Lee Seungi tho, rather than "badboy", his character just comes off as a childish moron.

Tho I can just about stand so much from the evil Step-mother, awful awful woman.

I'm watching three: Strike Love, Sons of Sol Pharmacy House (aka My Too Perfect Sons), and Brilliant Legacy.

Strike Love just has something, though I'm not sure what, that makes it enjoyable. I think it's a bit of everything.

Sons of Sol Pharmacy House is wonderful for comedy and romance. It's a true weekend drama: family, comedy, romance. I haven't loved a 50 episode weekend drama this much since I Am Happy (Happiness). I love the sharp writing style and the characters. It doesn't hurt that the whole cast has wonderful chemistry.

Brilliant Legacy is very "old school" (like 5-3 years ago) to me. It's like something I've seen before, but I know I enjoyed seeing, so I don't mind taking a second look.

So far, of the weekend dramas, I'm only watching Brilliant Legacy, though I plan to watch Strike Love once it's done airing.

Brilliant Legacy isn't amazing or anything... but I really love the main girl, and it's a nice little Cinderella-esque story. I just started episode 7, so I'm not *that* far yet. But still, it's managed to make me cry in almost every episode I've watched (no drama has made me do that in a LONG time), and since it'll probably end happily, I don't even mind. I'm just eagerly waiting for the real romance to get started, and hope this series keeps getting better and better. Like someone said earlier -- it sort of feels old school -- which I actually really enjoy.

And of course I can't wait for the evil step-mother to get hers in the end!! ^_^

I'm loving Brilliant Legacy right now. It's doesn't take itself too seriously and excellent eye candy to be sure. It's rather enjoyable to watch. I can't wait until the evil step mother gets what's coming for her for all her lies.

The only weekend drama I am watching right now is Brilliant Legacy/ Shining Inheritance because compare to other weekend drama there are not too many episodes (not like Job Well Done or Sons of Sol Pharmacy House). The cast are young and good-looking so that's another reason. The story might not be too original but then it's easy to follow and quite opposite to the intense of Story of A Man so I quite enjoy watching it.

I thought about watching Strike Love but to be honest sport dramas never really tempt me so I opt to skip it. I might come back to watch it in the near future, may be after Story of A Man finishes!

As for the other weekend drama, the length is a huge drawback so I don't think I will not bother watching them.

I just randomly decided to watch Shining Inheritance for Lee Seung Gi, and though it's a tried storyline, I'm really liking it, and anticipating every episode. Have been scared to try others just in case I'd get hooked to them too...

I started The Sons of Sol Pharmacy House, the first four episodes in English with KBS world releases and it's hilarious, I love the pairing:

The pharmacist with the lawyer, the doctor with the nurse, the actress with the 3rd son, they match perfectly in different may. I love the actress's parents too, they are so funny when they argue at each others.

Brutus seems to be the only annoying guy with his engrish but it's not THAT annoying anyway.

I can't wait to know why the father oh the Song's family hates the father of the actress, I think it's related to the mother of the four sons, but we'll see... ^^

May be because Grandma - Ban Hyo Seong - is again the owner of a food empire. Likes to dress down and do the homeless bit. As was her role in 'Heaven and Earth' all of 165 eps.
By the way young Eun Woo - Yeon Jun Seok , who brilliantly portrays an autistic
pianist - was also in 'Heaven and Earth.

So glad we 'cannot' climb into the screen, love to give that EVIL stepmother a ear full, along with Woo Hwan the rich brat. (he's bound to improve in later eps. as the seeds are there)

As for Lee Seung Gi, right as I started reading this thread, my iPod speakers started crooning the Lee Seung Gi song "Words that are hard to say" (the MV for this song is pretty awesome, with Nam Sang Mi looking very different from some of her cutesie roles). So, I have to take that as a sign that I have to watch Shining Inheritance as well, what else can I do? It appears to be destiny, and you cannot fight destiny - I learned that from Hong Gil Dong. And to quote Oh Dal Ja, of Dal Ja's Spring, "If it is fate..."

But I don't have enough time! I only have 2 eyes and 1 brain and 1 heart. There's too many dramas to watch! If I were emperor of the world, I would command all drama productions to stop for about 2 years, and have all of the actors, actresses and PD's (oh, and throw Javabeans in there too), just be put into cryogenic stasis until we finish catching up.

thats the only weekend drama im following at the moment

i'm watching 'Sons of Sol Pharmacy' and 'Good job, good job' and so far i like the latter much better. I've heard the baseball drama is really boring and all other dramas are just as blah.

Although I love watching the crew (Lee Seung Gi!) in 1 night 2 days, I wasn't really sure at first if I would want to watch another cliche drama. But I'm actually following it now, mainly because of Han Hyo Joo. Her acting doesn't make me nervous, as compared to the acting in previous dramas haha~

and actually, at post 14, im the opposite! im HAVING trouble watching dramas! i cant seem to like any drama out there =S. I don't consider myself a person who has seen all the dramas out there, maybe 30 to 40 korean dramas in my life. I hate starting a new drama and then being disappointed halfway and stopping it, which just wastes my time.
i have over 15 korean dramas, and 20 japanese dramas in my hard drive waiting for me to watch them, but damn it im SO PICKY! i hate that about myself =s.

I am watching Briliant Legacy now and sort of was thinking of dropping it but came back to it.. I agree that Seunggi is great at the crying parts and i was a bit biased in the beginning as i thought there wasnt a solid cast so a little eh about the drama but its going along pretty well.. the grandma is funny and there is quite some eye candy to look for when bored lol.. i noticed i didn't really fast forward through the parts which is a good indication...

however, its not as good as A Man's Story .. I tried to stop watching that but just ended up doing a marathon of the episodes I missed.. sigh.. too bad its going to end in a few weeks .. will need to hunt for another drama.. maybe I'll try the Sons of Sol Pharmacy. Job Well Done just did not do it for me, I had to forward through alot of parts and it seems the storyline is just dragging on forever, with little advancements and I'm not rooting for any of the characters :(

i LOVE shining inheritance. migoodness. and yes i know, there's another singer turned actor lee seung gi. but his acting is getting better as the episodes go further. i definitely loving seung gi's long legs. hahahahaha. and the few first episodes are just bleh, just like you said, but it's picking up very good after that. now, im actually addicted to it and waiting when will it be uploaded at viikii, just like how i was addicted to the oh so overrated bof.

I'm really really enjoying Brilliant Legacy. The concept is nothing new and the execution isn't exactly exceptional either, but I miss the nostalgic traditional Cinderella story, complete with Evil Stepmother.

it was really hard for me not to keep watching after the first episode of shining inheritence and sons of sol pharmacy. also, the young actor that plays the autistic brother is brilliant i really thought he was actually autistic.

I'm following empress chunchu and Brilliant Legacy....
those are the two that I really follow nowadays....
currently Brilliant Legacy is slightly better than Empress chunchu.....but it tends to change from weekend to weekend for me......
brilliant legacy is not even that original and none of the actors are really outstanding (but they are definitely decent!!).....and I dun normally like trendy dramas...but I'm drawn to it for no apparent reason.....as opposed to it, I've always been a great saguk fan....

Brilliant Legacy is really enjoyable. I wish you'd do recaps on it because just by watching the first episode says not much of anything. Han Hyo Joo surprised me with her acting though, I doubted her at first.....I skimmed through "Spring Waltz" recently, and it's surprising to witness the improvement she's had. I didn't watch this drama because of any particular actor, but I think Bae So Bin is the gem here.

i love Brilliant Legacy =D the only one of the new dramas that held my attention lol I've kinda gave up on Story of a Man since I'm just not into that type of drama which sucks since the acting seems fantastic =/ Plus Park Si Yeon is in it and she irritates me for some reason lol

I'm watching Brilliant Legacy/ Shining Inheritance, and I'm enjoying it (I just finished episode 8). It's nothing phenomenal or anything and has its flaws, but it also has heart. I really like the female protagonist; she's cute and fragile in a sense but also very strong & determined. I also love the grandmother. You can tell that she worked very hard to get to where she is in life and doesn't take anything for granted. She doesn't let her wealth go to her head. Furthermore, she's come to realize that she spoiled her children/grandchildren. She sees the good & potential in them, but knows that they won't be able to mature & learn to appreciate life (as well as respect other people) if she doesn't push them to work for themselves and stop being pampered. I'm basically watching to see how the characters develop & grow; how some of them redeem themselves; and how the main lead gets reunited with her father & brother.

Um, acting is not bad.

But the story and script are just meh.. I jumped from ep2 to 8; and I was like "this is all that happened after freaking 5 eps ?"

It's slow, cliche', nothing excited. But watchable on a bored Sunday morning.

I am currently watching shining inheritance and am enjoying it for it's somewhat originality. True it's the banal 2 guy and 2 girls but I like how fast the show is progressing. Even with only 8 episodes, the actors and actresses are doing well and I hope the plot can offer some new light. So far so good! ...I'm also watching City Hall and it's so entertaining. I watched the whole episodes up to 8 around 2 times. I mean it's seriously hilarious and the conversations and the writing all fits well. It's witty and political and it's brilliant! I LOVE this show! CITY HALL is currently my favorite...sorry guys, I know how much you love shining inheritance...lol

brilliant legacy is aight. it's enjoyable to watch but also frustrating, because the evil characters are really, well, Evil Characters. the kinds you know will go straight to hell.
BUT i really, really, really recommend family honor, which brilliant legacy replaced. it's not TOO predictable, and it's seriously enjoyable even if a little cliche (counters not predictable argument aforementioned, i know, but i guess you would get it if you watched it?) i really looked forward to every weekend because of it. the strong family bond portrayed just makes your heart melt a little.

i have been waiting for Seung Gi's new drama since 7princesses...so my main reason initially was for him. But after watching, i realised that the whole cast was awesome... the script may be very normal, but the expression/reaction that the actors/actresses gave were spot on.. looking at Seung Gi in 2D1N, you can't link Woo Hwan(Seung Gi character in the drama) with him..they are so different... that's what i call 'actor'... before this drama, i do not know who is bae soo bin, but i have to say he is a real actor... he is 32yrs old, but when facing Eun Sung(Han Hyo Joo), he looks like an innocent young guy who was falling in love for the 1st time...hahaha..... and some of his expression was just right on the spot....... it has been a long time since i adore both 1st and 2nd male leads...

as for the background music, i thought it was quite a good one.. i'm waiting for the OST to be released...i'm going to buy it!

The other drama that i'm currently watching is Sons of the Sol Pharmacy House. Just like the rating of the drama, my interest in watching this drama is going down as well.. I'm not too sure what is the reason, but i think the pace is a bit too slow.... i'm sick of seeing the eldest son going for matchmaking....sick of seeing the 2nd son always flirting with other women and ignoring the one besides him... the one one that makes me watch is the youngest son....not because he is younger, but he shows that though he is young, he can do what some women can't do(sewing) and he is such a helpful person(taking care of his friend's baby)..

I love this drama :D actually, it really bored me the first two episodes, but it gets a lot of better from episode 3. the weekend dramas are really entertaining me these days, except for iron empress. chae sira's acting is over the top for me in this drama.

JB, you should definitely watch this! forward through episode 1 & 2 and watch from 3 :)

I didn't enjoy the first episode of Brilliant Legacy, but things picked up in ep 2. It's pretty addictive, I must say, even if I heartily dislike Lee Seung-gi's Hwan character.

I'm getting a kick out of Sons of Sol Pharmacy House and I'm mostly watching raws. ^^

I find the comedy wonderful, definitely a weekend pick me up

Despite what I said before about how SoSP is 50 episodes too long, I'm coming to regret my hasty judgement.

I hope the storyline for bsb and hhj will be more fiesty not melancholy as it goes on because he too deserve the girl he loves.

SoAMan was man! Chae Do-woo, or rather Kim Kang-woo is like WHOA. Park Yong-Ha is great too and his character Shin is crazy as well (in a if-you-touch-me-you're-dead kind of way), but man. its hard not to love the bad guy :/

Brilliant Legacy sounds great too though...and really want to watch Strike Love. Although, am already grateful for KBS world right now since the drama comes along with subtitle ^^..get to see Lee Seun-Gi in 1N2D nevertheless! XD

Bae Soo-bin in Shining Inheritance reminds me of Edward in that vampire Twilight movie. Am I the only one? Bae kinda looks pale like a vampire in the series. maybe the make-up. hoho.

If the writers insist that HHJ's character and LSG's character are indeed a OTP... then her step sister is going get hartbroken.

I don't know how they are going to do it, but It's going to make HHJ's character become the evil one. I mean, it took them 5-6 episodes to build up her moving in with him. During that time, they established that Hwan and Eun's stepsister as really close. Not to metion Eun was having OTP moments with that other guy.

It sucks for that other guy, and Eun's stepsister.

Also, I want to know how are they going to make sense on why Eun's dad faked his death. Is Eun going to forgive him?

We are definitely in a good year with so many watchable dramas.

For the weekend drama, I'm watchng "Job Well Done'". I never thought I would get into a 50-episode drama but I do here. Love all the characters and have that 'seeing good friend' vibe when following the drama. Some people complain that Uhm Ki Joon is not handsome enough to be the male lead but he's just got that unusual charm which fits to a T for the unusual male lead character he's playing - simply adorable.

Would love to catch up with "Sons of Sol Pharmacy House" and "Strike Love" later when I have time.

Tried 4 episodes of 'Shining Inheritance' and dropped it. To me, episode 1 is the best episode out of the four and that explains my not following it. May give it a go perhaps after LSG turns around. HHJ's acting is improving but still not a very strong actress. BSB is probably the biggest attraction. Cinderella stories always have their appeal and this one is quite similar to "1% of Something". But the 'very old school' line including an extremely evil stepmom are putting me off.

Also tried 4 episodes of 'Accidental Couple' and dropped it. Hwang Ji Min alone could not sustain my interest unfortunately. My current obsession is "City Hall' . Just Love, love, love it - hilarious and poignant at the same time. It may become one of my all time favouritess.
