Hee-sun’s Happy Mom Project
by javabeans
Actress Kim Hee-sun (Smile Again, Sad Sonata) held her first official event as a new mother (she gave birth to a daughter in January) on the afternoon of April 7 in Seoul.
The event was to kick off the publication of the “Kim Hee-sun’s Happy Mom Project,” which is a book detailing Kim Hee-sun’s pregnancy and childbirth experience, with all proceeds going to charity. Donations will be sent to help Afghan children through charity organization Nutrition & Education International.
Kim Hee-sun married a businessman in 2007, after which she scaled back her acting and modeling activities (her last drama was the 2006 series Smile Again). She announced her pregnancy last year and occasionally released photos of herself and her family during her pregnancy and shortly thereafter. However, she hasn’t yet made a move to take on new acting projects (although, let’s be honest, Kim Hee-sun was never known for her acting skills).
Kim is also participating in the new “1 Green Canvas for 1 Tree” campaign by Benetton alongside Speed Scandal cutie Wang Seok-hyun. The Green Canvas campaign aims to raise environmental awareness and advocates reuse of products.

maybe moms-to-be would be interested but i think they would prefer reading books by professional docs or nurses that specialize in prenatal care.

I think she should try to focus on her acting career again instead writing such a book... I mean even it is for children I think it's nothing special about her being pregnant... BORING!!

yes...totally agree with you regarding her acting skills. Saw her in Wedding and it was painful to watch. Ryu Shi Won was also painful to watch. He has one fixed look and it is always a sad look....and it's the same look in all dramas. I hope he is a lot better with his directorial skills...sorry deviated a little.
Definitely a good cause but not to sure if it will take off. I hope I am wrong.

oh yeah i did notice her eyes have widened, she definitely did something with her eyes again. Even after all these years she has gong ju byung.
I kinda disagree that she should work on her acting skills... not because she's good but because she really wasn't fit to be an actress from the begining..i think she should just find different work or spend the time raising her baby at home. Acting or writing books doesn't seem like it was meant for her.

her eyes were already big, how much more can she widden!!.. i think it's because they took a close up, that's why she looks like that.. Though she was never a great actress but i do find her presence enjoyable.

Oh gawh! why so many haters given stupid comments here? She had a pair of beautiful eyes, so you said she under go for plastic surgery. I don't think you won't go if you have money. Nowaday, every women and men also go for face-lift,botox,face scrupture, suction etc... This all also consider plastic sugery services. Widen up your brain, people.

wow, very nice comments from good and thoughtful people. I wonder what you all look like in person and what you do in life. I bet you have pretty eyes and excellent in what you do. Is she a bad person,? why are you people like that. At least she she has the opportunity and courage to do what she like and be seen by millions of people. (Hi Ms. Kim Hee Sun, I wish you more blessings and more success. Take care and God bless.)
