ami - those elaborate and huge head-dresses were unique to kisaengs. Headpieces of royalty or the nobility (in this case) were no less elaborate/beautiful but considerably toned down. I'm no expert but that's generally what I've seen/read.

anyway, I haven't watched that many sageuks but I may watch a few of this particular series...

i miss go hyun jung she pretty awesome with her traditional costume since I didn't see her before....wearing those sageuk clothes...

I can't believe that she is the same person in What's Up Fox, she's definitely funny there, but in Queen Seon Deok, she's elegant and unpredictable. But one thing I know for sure, she's the only villain that I love, and I actually cried when she died in the drama.
