Yoon Eun-hye focuses on drama before movies
by javabeans
Yoon Eun-hye has refuted rumors that she is taking on a new movie, saying that she is concentrating her efforts first to the drama series Lady Castle.
She had been reported as signing on to the movie Yeoudeung [여우등], but her rep explains that while it’s true they had discussed her taking the part, they have not accepted. She received the offer last year but has not made a decision, although the project remains on her list of possibilities. However, she will not decide on a film project until she is done with her drama series. (This is in character with Yoon; while she perhaps is not the most skilled actor, she has been praised for committing fully to her characters, which is why I find them engaging.)
In Lady Castle, a poor man disguises himself as a housekeeper/manager of a rich house with an eye on the family’s hidden slush fund. He falls in love with the haughty second daughter (of three), “Noh Yura,” played by Yoon. According to the actress’s rep, the male lead and director have yet to be confirmed.
Meanwhile, Yeoudeung sounds like an interesting project, should she take on the lead role of a lovable musical actress — it is to be directed by Heo In-mu of films Herb and Love So Divine and is described as a mystery-melodrama.

I love YEH <3
All her dramas never disappoint ~
I like her because she can look and act like an average girl without trying too hard and it seems natural - so we just naturally get attracted to her as someone we can relate too~
This may also be extremely weird to say, but i like her nose XD
It's natural but not insanely pointy or western-looking at all (like how some go for the "western" nose but it just ruins their face)
But in that picture, is it me or does her lips look unhealthy? You know, when lips get dried/chapped and gets red.

I'll take a drama over a movie any day of the week. Eun Hye hasn't failed at anything yet and I'm certain that this one will be a success as well. One request though: No more drastic haircuts, please. I like her much better as a girl!!!

I have been waiting to see her in a new drama, this is great news indeed......about the male lead, I would love to see Lee Min Ho actually, but I know he needs to get leg surgery in May, so I guess he is out of the question.

I've always found her to be such a great actress.
She's one of the very few korean actress who doesn't have to rely on goodlooking or super famous leadingmen just to get good ratings. She can hold her own.
The magic of YEH is that I cannot take my eyes away from her when she's onscreen. She has this charm that just sucks me in.

Ditto with @3 and @8...rewatching Goong with my daughter and can't help floating her character in Coffee Prince in my mind and she is such a natural. Not too dolled up, not too self conscious... She doesn't have a wide range as an actress but because she has played such diverse characters, it made her acting credible :)

Honestly I am completely sick of all her photoshoots. She's become like a Jun Ji-hyun for me. All posing and no action! :/

both Lady Castle and Yeoudeung sound like interesting projects. i hope she picks up Yeoudeung. and if she does, i wonder if she'll sing in the movie. probably right? b/c she'll be playing a musical theater actress...
and her earnestness def. shines through on screen so you can't help but believe her. that's what i like about her acting. she may not be great, but she has heart.

Very true she not the 'Great' actress some have called her, but what she does is give 110% to her effects and frankly you can not ask for anything more.

I feel anxious for Yoon Eun Hye because there's so much pressure on her to make Lady Castle a hit like Goong or Coffee Prince. But not gonna lie, I'm pretty excited for Lady Castle (I'm one of the few who enjoyed Princess Lulu).

YEH gets a bad rap for her acting in Goong and Vineyard b/c she overly does the whole "cutesy" girl routine.
While some of the blame falls on her, I suspect the director (and others), in part, influenced her to overdo the whole cutesy thing (in order to appeal to the target demographic).
Otoh, YEH was very much a natural (raw, but a natural) in her film project , "The Legend of Seven Cutter" (btw, not a very good film; YEH was definitely the best thing about it) - which predated Goong and Vineyard (no bias here, since at the time, I had no idea who YEH was).
In CP - YEH became a good actress (tho, not great as of yet) - very ably portraying emotions of sadness, joy wistfulness, anger, jealousy, playfulness, etc.
Now that she is older, I certainly hope she longer gets attached to projects where she has to do that whole "cutesy" act, since she certainly has outgrown that in her acting ability.
"She’s become like a Jun Ji-hyun for me." - That's funny/interesting, considering that YEH and JJH both have great onscrean charisma (not to mention more outgoing personalities).

Good news that she is committed to the drama. Now, all I'm waiting for is for them to announce that Kang Dong Won will play the leading man. I'm quite anxious about the wait
I hope there is more to this drama than the uninteresting plot.

These opinion is very true. I think, whoever is the leading man it doesn't matter, couse with YEH alone viewer can be "tune in" in front of the TV. That's the power of YEH. Even the leading man could become famous for starring opposite YEH. Gong Yoo as example. So, I'm looking forward for this drama.

Oh that's cool! I really hoped that she would prefer a new drama. I think she has to improve her skills to do a good movie. But I think she has the possibilities to do that.:-)
Lady Castle sounds really interesting but at the moment I can not imagine how it will be on TV. But at least we will see her again. And I'm sure she will be as excellent as ever.:3
YOON EUN HYE go for it!*yeah* XD
