It is French, I recognised my language (he said "toi" and "tu sais") but only because of those two words... :)

But still, he has a good voice, so romantic..

Yup, I also hear French. Not my language, but I took it for a few years, so I perked up when I recognized it. The song itself sounds really familiar, but I can't tell for the life of me if it's because I've heard the orginal before or I've just heard the English version.

lol, ichigopan makes me curious what his live singing must be like after hir comment.

This seems like its going to be another movie you get me excited about. And I'll feel like it took forever to get release so I can watch it with subs.

He's got a nice voice but sorry to say, as a native French speaker, what an awful articulation/accent/phrasing... ;o)

So awful indeed that I couldn't even make any words before reading you said it could be French and therefore listening more carefully... Which is not good, when a song is in one's mother tongue, is it ? ;o)

Whoever phonetically transcribed the song could not speak French well (and there seem to be a few French mistakes), I'm sure (Joo Ji-Hoon obviously doesn't understand what he's saying, as he links syllables from different words, and stuff)...

What I could make out during my efforts amounts to the following (*** stands for when I couldn't make out any understanble word, even with lots of auditive imagination ;o) ) :

with JJH singing this french song with not at all a hint of a correct french pronunciation - its UNDERSTANDABLE. For koreans to speak english is very hard to replace their phonetic sounds, how much more in french. It takes a good coach also to really have him practice the song...since in this movie he came from france they might have had make a good effort to do so. But anyway...its not that bad at all, quite cute !

Yeah, I didn't believe it was French until I really tried listening. Some words he pronounced a lot better than others, but I couldn't make out the words Bérénice missed either. I also think there were even some mistakes in the translation that Bérénice fixed. That being said, I don't think it was his fault. He did pretty well on some parts.

despite the obvious flaws, that was really nice. i was always one to turn to jello whenever joo ji hoon smiles. i'm surprised that girl isn't more floored. i'm jonesing for a goong comeback-anyone else?

Maybe this time JJH and Shin Mina couple will have a nice onscreen ending versus Devil, where he was too hung up on vegeance and used her powers to get to the people he needed to find.

Besides the strange outfits in his latest media pics, I do think he has gotten more handsome.

i never liked him much in goong...but O MY GOD i think he just charmed me with that voice of his LOL. at first i thought he was singing in korean too until i heard him say "dans la joie" which was when i figured this was supposed to be french -- other than the intruding accent, this was a lovely surprise. looking forward to this movie and antique bakery now!
