Cast members featured on Boys Before Flowers OST

No point in deliberately hiring idol stars and then not making use of their pop-music backgrounds, right?

Two of F4 members in the new drama Boys Before Flowers got their starts in kpop, and will be featured on the drama’s soundtrack. Kim Hyun-joong (“Yoon Ji-hoo”) is a singer for the boy band SS501, while Kim Joon has a slightly lower profile as a member of the group T-Max, who sings the title song “Paradise.”

(Kim Joon is a rapper with T-Max, which perhaps explains his character Song Woo-bin’s gangsta-wannabe vocabulary — which, btw, is starting to grow on me; it’s still horrible, but amusingly bad. This happens to be his acting debut, and despite his inexperience, I actually think he’s doing a decent job.)

Kim Hyun-joong and SS501 contribute a track called “Because I’m Dumb.” The OST also features kpop groups Shinee, Someday, Seo Jin-young, Tree Bicycle, and Ashily (familiar names from director Jeon’s previous dramas My Girl and Witch Amusement). Too bad the general sentiment has been that the music of the drama — how to put this lightly? — sucks.

i actually like a lot of the songs although they are used quite a bit in the drama itself. the ending theme "because i'm stupid" by ss501 fits the drama pretty well. =D

I love the OST. Hahaha! Found the songs very catchy. They're stuck in my head! I'm a Filipino and can't understand Korean that well (I'll really study it after graduating from college! Yay!) but I find myself singing the romanized lyrics and gush over the english translations. Corny, I know. But what the heck! XD

Are you kidding..... I love the music from Season 1 I've watched it over & over. And it lifts my spirit.
Please say there will be more Seasons to come.
Each actor & actress is beautifully cast.
Enduring plot twists. Precious love stories.
I never have enjoyed subtitles. NEVER, ever!
However I'm now sold on this because of the
Sweetness of not being smutty or trashy.
Pure joy.Thanks for that.
