She knew it was rude, but didn't really care. Maybe she hoped no one would notice. But honestly I don't blame her cause the other day I went to this seminar where a bunch of professors were going to talk. I was only interested in the first couple of lectures, didn't care about the rest, so I really wanted to leave after the first two lectures, but I didn't cause I knew it was going to be rude.

Pfft, if I was her, I'd prolly leave the show as soon as my part was up too.

Totally agree with you Sonam. Also if she was tired then she should've skipped the award show as she didn't have a problem getting dressed up to go. I mean let's be honest she thought she was suppose to win and when she didn't and the spotlight wasn't on her she bailed simple as that.

FYI, Han Ye Seul didn't leave right after they presented the Best New Actress award, but during the intermission which was after Big Bang's performance in which she applauded. Also, she's not the first, nor will she be the last, to leave an awards ceremony early during the intermission. Plenty of celebs have made early exits at award ceremonies before. It's not uncommon and it doesn't usually attract this much attention. Now you might be wondering then why is it attraction so much attention now? Well, it's because we're talking about Han Ye Seul here, and because she didn't win the Best New Actress Award which was presented shortly prior to her exit. But if you read her cyworld post you can tell that she was very sincere in her apology and a bit naive to not provide a fake excuse (i.e., she was really sick), but instead stated that she was feeling very tired after finished up her Tazza promotions, and just wanted to crawl into bed. She stated that since she's received so many blessings this year that she really wanted the Best New Actress award to go to someone else this time. I mean, this hasn't big that big a deal for someone to leave early in the past. Also, HYS isn't the type to leave because she didn't win an award. Plus, at least she came forth and apologized unlike plenty of other top stars, and boybands who have made much bigger flaws/mistakes and have not apologized for their actions. I really don't think there was a need for HYS to apologize, she could've easily stayed quiet and have it gone forgotten like what all the other celebs do, but instead she came forth and apologized for her mistake, said that she regretted it deeply, and has learned from her mistake, etc. What more do you want from her?

Also, Kim Yun Jin even told her she should go home early since she seemed really tired. She had an interview afterwards which is why she went out during the intermission, but because she was so tired she decided to leave early. There's no rule that requires everyone to stay until the very end. If you're not feeling well or very exhausted it's probably better for you to leave early then to stay. And there's plenty of people who don't even show up to the award ceremonies at all.

There should not be any argument that what she did was discourteous to her fellow colleagues at the award show. These award shows always run long and everybody knows what they are getting themselves into the moment they decide to go. Leaving while the show is still in progress is a big no, Han Ye Seul or not. How would the award nominees after the intermission feel if half the crowd left because they felt tired after a long day? Everybody works...everybody came dressed up to attend the award show for it is a celebration of the actors' efforts that year. I think it is part of award presentation shows etiquette.

Anyhow, this isn't the end of the world...a good actress even with this experience can still get jobs, no? So, Han Ye Seul will definitely survive tomorrow. LOL. We have short term memories for this kind of stuff anyways. Most importantly, Han apologized and said she messed up at the show. No excuses given. Good for her.

It must be the first time i comment but I think it was more that she was tired... She was nominated for this award, she didn't win it, she felt tired so as there weren't any other awards for her, she left, simply.

We are really harsh with celebs but let's remember they are like us... they have got drawbacks and they feel tired... Anyway, nice photo *_*

In her defense, I think she was probably thinking about leaving even before they presented best actress but she told herself to stay because it would look very awkward if she were to win and wasn't present to accept the award even though she was there for the red carpet. and then everyone would wonder where she was etc. etc.

I think her exhaustion clouded her judgement because i would not have left the show at least not right after the award was presented to another person. She should've known that the media would speculate and draw conclusions based on her actions.

Firstly, she looks stunning in that dress. Secondly, I don't understand all the fuss, I agree that it was slightly rude and absent-minded of her to leave right after she lost the award, but that's not to say people can impulsively lash out on her and use this opportunity to express their unreasonable hatred towards HYS with the use of foul words, especially when she apologized almost immediately.

I'm sure, HYS wanted to stay as much as the next person, otherwise, why else would she waste such a gorgeous dress for a measly newcomer award and then leave early to top it off? It was, indeed, a naive mistake which anyone is capable of making, specifically if you're as busy as her and deprived of sleep.
