Cameos abound in Sweet Lies
by javabeans
Kim Sun-ah fans have a(nother) reason to watch Park Jin-hee‘s upcoming romantic comedy Sweet Lies, in which Kim (When Night Comes) turns up for a brief cameo. Her involvement had not been previously announced, but was revealed at the movie’s December 1 press preview event.
Kim’s character bears her own name, although she’s not playing her star self; in the movie, “Kim Sun-ah” is the first love of Lee Ki-woo‘s character, who in turn is the object of Park Jin-hee’s affections. Kim is featured in the film’s epilogue, which led to surprised laughs among the movie’s unsuspecting audience at the preview screening.
The film features several other cameos as well, including comedian Kim In-seok (tvNGELS) as Park Jin-hee’s co-worker at the broadcast station. and ballad singer Kim Sung-jae in the role of a worker at a fast-food restaurant she frequents.
Meanwhile, former kpop group DJ DOC’s Jung Jae-yong has a larger role as the guy who once delivered food to Park Jin-hee on the romance-themed White Day. Now, while she’s trying to get Mr. Perfect Lee Ki-woo by faking amnesia, he tries to push her toward her childhood friend instead, played by Jo Han-seon. Coffee Prince‘s “Ha-rim,” Kim Dong-wook, also has a supporting role.
The movie opens December 18.
(In the preview, basically she keeps faking her memory loss, asking, “Who… am I?” and then “Who are you?” to friends and co-workers. Jo Han-seon at one point says he’s Park Jin-hee’s boyfriend — probably lying to force her to admit SHE’s lying — and the confusion/hilarity ensues.)

this movie looks like it's worth a watch...glad lee ki-woo had bigger role now..it's such a waste to always keep him as supporting role only..and the supporting casts look great, so gonna give this movie a try..XD

I've watched it, it's good! It's on youtube with subs and it absolutely shatters a number of kdrama stereotypes and cliches... This movie has been on my radar after reading about in on dramabeans! Park Jin Hee was exasperatingly desperate, Lee Ki Woo was cute as usual, and Jo Han Sun, well, I think he's acted in better stuff, and I was on Lee Ki Woo's side the whole time... The cameos were awesome! The guy working at the restaurant was cute too, I thought he'd have a bigger part in the story but no, he's just a cute yet always mildly annoyed busboy.... I wish HaRim kept his hair from Coffee Prince... All in all, better than Baby and Me, that's for sure... :-)
