First look at Won Bin’s “Mother”
by javabeans
Here’s our first peek into Won Bin‘s upcoming movie, Mother. The image isn’t that great and I have a great annoyance with news agencies that splash their logos across people’s faces, but as it’s the first official still released by the production, we’ll have to make do with what we get.
In the film, directed by The Host‘s Bong Joon-ho, Won Bin is falsely charged with murder; his mother (Kim Hye-ja) steps in to try to clear his name. Based on the director’s name and Won Bin’s participation, the film has already been sold for Japanese and French distribution.

Looks like a serious film and that picture makes him look believable as an innocent falsely accused average guy....if that makes any sense.
On a side note our favorite movie re-maker Will Smith is deciding to rape another classic movie only this time it's an American Film. He is going to re-make the film "The Karate Kid" casting his son to play the lead role of Daniel-San. Nice way to use your name to find work for your family. But it should be an epic disaster so good luck with that. Anyways thought it would cheer you up to know that although Hollywood occasionally picks the film pockets of Korea, its greatest theft victim will always remain Hollywood itself. I miss the Fresh Prince.

Actually the Karate Kid remake sounds like a lot of fun. Will Smith's son would be much better than that cheesy Ralph Machhio. He was awful and the karate was awful! I am sure Will Smith will rope in some acclaimed choreoagraphers like Yuen Woo Ping to handle the action scenes.

Oldboy was one thing. Karate Kid? Hey now. It's time for Obama to step in and end this madness. ("Will and Jada, no you can't") Willy, would you like it if Soulja Boi remade Fresh Prince? Thought so.

French distributors excel at Asian films in Europe! Happy to know that it sells to France and Japan with the film only finished 20% of shooting. I'm glad to see the first image!
