Mina’s French Diary
by javabeans
Like Go Ara before her, Shin Mina (Devil, Go Go 70) lets cameras capture her recent trip to France for cable channel O’live Style. The program is called Mina’s French Diary and was filmed over a two-week period (August 20 through September 3).
Similar in format to the other travel diaries broadcast by O’live (i.e., Ara’s trip to Japan, Han Yeseul in L.A., Han Hye-jin in Vegas), the program follows Shin Mina around as she tours the sights of Paris: she browses vintage goods at a flea market, heads to Montmartre, and visits the tomb of chanteuse Edith Piaf. She also ventures to the seaside resort of Deauville.
Mina’s French Diary airs in four installments, the first of which shows on October 18.
(Ahh, I miss France. So pretty.)

Oh, I miss France too. I miss the bread, the cheese, the people (yes, seriously), language, the air...everything. *sigh*
I'll seriously have to permanently move back one day!
...I didn't go too overboard, did I? ;) (but, I was being sincere)

Neverrr been to France. But yeah, that Haagen-Dazs container floating above Mina's head (second picture on the left) makes me really want some ice cream.

Ahhh....Pari! I went there twice and had a lot of fun. The french men are crazy about Asian girls. They were always asking.....Are you made in Japan?
I am so tired of the scarf. Everyone's doing it. I wish she had worn some cutting edge French fashion like Balenciaga.

What's great about these photo diaries is that it suggests a story in the minds
of those who see it.
Especially Shin Mina's face: her smile and silence and her surroundings
bridge a conversation between us and her.
But the most enchanting part is that there wasn't really any story to begin with -
the story just happened the moment we looked into the pictures.
Magical!

I'm French and it always makes me happy when people see Paris as a romantic and beautiful city. But you know what they say: Paris n'est pas la France !
I have been living in Paris for several years now and I sometimes get the feeling that I'm a foreigner in my own country.
It's a pity I haven't seen Shin Mina when she was in Paris. Maybe I should stop working and start hanging around touristic places...

Paris n'est pas la France, I agree with Cynthia, but still, Paris is such a beautiful city! I live there, so I know what I'm talking about :D. I didn't even know Shin Min Ah was in Paris!!! Awww... The pictures are beautiful ^^.
I'm happy to see that some people actually like Parisians (I don't really like them hahaha aven though I am on of them...)! They're not very polite and, if you're a tourist, you're lucky if the Parisian speaks English XD! But young people are nicer :D.

I dont really miss France. I mean I'm French but I live in the UK. I admit sometimes cheese and baguette are not good here and I miss my products.
Paris is OK I think, especially when you're sitting in a brasseriewith your friends and watching people or when you're under the Eiffel Tower thinking about what you could do tomorow.
