i do agree with what a lot of you are saying. its true that she is old (agewise)and she looks young but to think of going from Chil Woo to Korean Hana Yori Dango? A serious role to a fun free-for-all one?? wouldnt that lower her image as a serious actress?? she just started to get into more serious roles and now to cast her in a romantic comedy, nonetheless, will get her image down......i think the role might hurt her more than it'll make her. Her publicist may be trying to appeal to the younger crowd i guess......not sure if itll work :/

cuz actually i was hoping for more of a college drama than HS...i always thought that F4 were just too over-the-top with the drinking and having sex, etc. to be high schoolers...that is one of the aspects i most preferred in MG..that it was set in a college situation...

The whole story just makes more sense in college, i think. Like Makino's mom trying to marry her off, etc. They are all too advanced to be HS students. So....since they went off and got an older woman (girl? lol) to play Makino, i HOPE they go ahead and do the college setting

i wanna see Park Shin Hye take the role of Makino. Her age is closer to the character's age.

i was actually really excited to see gu hyesun picked, partly because she's one of my all time favorites...the only thing i don't quite agree with in your post is the comment about lee yeonhee? even if she was picked to be makino i wouldn't mind..you gave the implication that yeonhee is really overrated or something..which isn't true, she's not THAT popular and most of her roles as been..not the perfect main character but someone ._. really awkward and weird......i'm going really off topic haha
but i think yeonhee would've been the perfect yuki..the person playing makino's best friend o_o

I think this has all confirmed that I am the only one on the planet who thinks this drama is overrated and horrendous XD. (It is the prime reason why I ran away from Jdrama's and got into Kdrama's in the first place--I am only now peeking back at Jdrama's again). Saying that I still can't stop myself wondering about who will be cast and I am intriguied to see whether the Korean version will present the storyline in a way and with a style that will interest me.

yeah when i heard about that,, i was like.. what? because i thought Gu, Hye-Sun(not sure for the spelling) is too pretty to be the main female character in hana yori dango.(still, Yi, Yeon-Hee, Go, a-ra are too pretty too) In the manga, the female chracter is described as not that pretty girl.... but i dont know.. we just have to see before we judge..

well, i was surprised too..but i really think that goohyesun will fit the role because she doesnt LOOK that old. Plus, she's probably one of the better actresses out there...shes not afraid to put forth all her emotions...and i think she has that innocent look to her..so shes good for the part....

truthfully, yoona from SNSD isnt the best actress...i found her a little awkward...
and Boys Before Flowers is pretty good so far and cute. The casting was overall pretty reasonable and good.

and just to add to that...guhyesun is what you consider an ulzzang...shes pretty if you look at her carefully...i dont get why people keep saying shes not that pretty cuhs...frankly...youre probably not as pretty as her either...so..theres no point in saying that...for a korean, shes actually on the prettier side.

and..lee yeon hee isnt that pretty. something about her is eh...

well, personally, my opinion, she's cute. she looks young and fresh evethough shes 28 now. as long as she acts really good and feels for her role, i dont think anything else would be the problem. okay fine, shes 3 years older than lee min ho, but she really looks like younger than him. but whatever t is, i love BOF. its really awesome! i hope my comment hasnt given anyone offence or anything. btw, i know, my english is bad. lol. but nice blog. :)
