Park Shi Yeon in car accident
by javabeans
29-year-old former Miss Korea, former Eric’s Girlfriend and current actress Park Shi Yeon (My Girl, When Spring Comes) is the latest celebrity to be in a car accident rushing to work. On the 18th, she was en route to shoot MBC’s new weekend drama Sweet Life [달콤한 인생, or Bittersweet Life], airing in May, when the van she was riding in rear-ended the car in front.
She and the other passengers (manager, stylist, hair/makeup staff) were taken to a nearby hospital, where she received emergency care and had her X-ray taken, but no serious injuries were sustained; mostly bumps and bruises.
It’s fortunate that this sounds like a mere fender-bender and not something serious, but it seems like practically every other day that another star is in a work-related car accident. The more dire accidents (e.g., Super Junior’s last year, which put several members in the hospital and one in intensive care) generally give rise to talk of reducing the crazily hectic schedules that push stars to rush from event to event to meet impossible schedules. But as long as the K-entertainment machine continues to feed the workaholic tendencies of most, this is starting to feel like just another part of the job.

And when you are six feet under, nothing seems to be that so important.
Much ado about not much. Zen people.

It's sad that this seems to be something commonplace in the K entertainment world.
I remember hearing a story where a celebrity accident actually killed the other party (parties?).....

From the recent events, It sounds like the management treat korean celebrities like some money milking commodity. milk them while they are hot, and when not just discard them. Anything happens, it's not our fault....
sad, really.

Maybe she'll use it as her excuse to get her sixteenth nose job.

The scary thing is that it's exactly once year since the Super Junior accident happened. What is it and he month of April? The Turtles death was also very tragic.

When it's been so long after they split, she's still known as Eric's ex. That's really her one big achievement in life huh?
But oh well, good to know everyone's fine. Stay safe, people.

Well, for an OECD nation, Korea supposedly has one of the worst motor vehicle accident rates.
