Notice: Hong Gil Dong postponed to next week

Quick update: In case you’re expecting Hong Gil Dong‘s Episode 22 today… you’ll have to wait. Apparently there’s a baseball game (a qualifying round for the Beijing Olympics) between Korea and Canada. With sports taking up the timeslot, Hong Gil Dong gets pushed to next week.
That begs the question of what will happen to the broadcast schedule with the series so close to its finale. (It’s awkward to finish the series on a Wednesday and then start a new series on Thursday, which throws the new series off as well.) When Que Sera Sera was similarly thrown off pace from a sports match, they added an extra episode to even things out, but that was early in the series and the writers had a chance to prepare for the ending. But with only three episodes remaining, there’s a greater probability that Hong Gil Dong will whip up a “special” (behind-the-scenes stuff) to air after the finale. But nothing confirmed yet.
In any case, the finale airs not on the 20th as previously scheduled, but on the 26th. Three Dads, One Mom (Eugene, Jae Hee, Jo Hyun Jae) premieres the following week, on April 2.

I am glad and sad at the same time. Sad, because I am looking forward to what happens next but unable to see it as well as having to wait 1 week for javabeans witty summary and glad, because it will give WITHS2 enough time to do their great subbing therefore enabling me to enjoy all 3 episodes more. WITH2 does a lot of hard work subbing this series and its appreciated.

Oh God, oh God, please let them make a special!
Not only do I love a special (More time to watch Kang Ji Hwan) but I HATE pushing episodes it. It always feel unnecessary, redundant.
That's one thing that made me like the fact that HGD didn't become an outstanding success. It's done amazingly on the web, and okay in Korea, and that's fine with me. No one pushing for extra episodes, thank god.

Why do they have to move Hong Gil Dong? Why can't they just show the game in another network??? Who watched baseball! or games!

Is it just me, or are there more postponements than usual since last year?
I've had enough. There is absolutely no logical reason for it! Who the heck watches sports? And KBS has several channels, so as Phillipa said, they can air those broadcasts on one of them! Or if they can't POSSIBLY do that, show Hong Gil Dong!
Anyone see Winter Bird? That was postponed so many times, I was nagged by my mom MANY TIMES for it =__= And today she nagged me...
It's really amazing...there's a crapload of channels for video game tournaments and possibly a handful for sports...
But at least I had [On Air]...even though it can't compare to Gil Dong..

come on guys it's trials for the OLYMPICS. kind of a big deal, right? i mean i love HGD too but i think postponing one episode isn't such a horrible thing.
and it can't be shown on other networks probably because kbs got the rights to show the game, not the others.

'course it's important..
and like javabeans said, we might expect some goodies (an extra ep? a special?) so then it is a blessing in disguise, no?
although... i could probably say this so easily because i've put HGD on hold for a while. GAH, projects suck. i stopped at episode 16-17ish and will pick it up again.
that's why, i'm grateful for dramabeans and the wonderful recaps!
