I think it was sad smile…but his only display of romantic attraction to Woo-Sung was driving fast so jjajangmyun wouldn’t get spoiled. It isn’t like he searched for that particular restaurant or told her something nice without ulterior motives….
At the moment, the only believable love line in Hyun Jae’s life is Hyun Jae/call phone
Actually I saw both, which made it so poignant: proud of his son, yet sad because he can’t get closer to WS now (and I’m not sure he has romantic feelings – yet).
He’s gorgeous in this scene <3
I do get a sad vibe from his look though. I had never detected any romantic tendency toward WS on his part up until last week's episode, but his buying that specific dish for her and this scene change what I thought. I think this week will provide a clearer answer as to HJ's feelings.
