I love all those girls and feel so proud of them. Hopefully we’ll get more strong and capable female characters and beautiful friendship among them in future drama.
I hope so — I loved how true to life they felt. And I loved that any rivalry between them was over friendship and not over boys, because sometimes it hurts more to feel like you’re losing a friend. The way the three of them ended was so wonderful.
I can’t with these two — did she really just call him to ask how to visit prison? And did he really tell her? I love that. His face this entire conversation was just like “Why am I still talking?”
OK I really love this girl. Why can’t we ditch the leads and have this be a show about the passive-aggressive contract dating shenanigans of two lonely chaebols? I’d totally watch that.
Theme of the month today inspired me to listen to SALTNPAPER’s while at an art exhibit and I highly recommend this combo. His voice is so soothing and this album is divine.
Seriously. Listening to him right now. Plus “Satellite” from the Chicago Typewriter OST is still on my everyday playlist. Pretty sure he’s been a staple of that playlist for the last year or so.
I still listen to his Bye Autumn from Jealousy Incarnate. Every. Single. Day. Its beautiful. And of course Satellite. Of course. Oh, now I’m thinking of a song that he sings in English (a song. Like there’s just one.) on his youtube channel that I love and can’t think of the name. I suppose I could spend a few hours drifting through his videos and finding it again. I mean. It would be a hard…
Oh man, removing “Bye, Autumn” from my everyday playlist was hard, but gotta keep that playlist limited or it would be insanely long. I think I only took it off a few weeks ago and has been on there since it was released. Last summer.
I have my life is bad cheer up playlist and my list of favorite favorites it takes a lot to make it onto that list. You have to prove yourself in the daily list for a while before you make it onto the favorites list. Satellite and Bye, Autumn both made it onto cheer up playlists but its been quite some time that Bye, Autumn made it onto the favorites list. Satellite isn’t there yet. But it’ll probably go the distance. He’s someone I want to see in concert. I bet he has such a chill show.
Listening to “Bye, Autumn” now, and seriously thinking it’ll be back on my everyday list. Pretty sure I would give a limb to see him live. I live in a large city, so it’s not 100% out of the question either, assuming he tours in the US.
My “De-stress” playlist is all female singers/groups because I made it in a really angry feminist fueled moment last year. But it starts with Missy Elliot and Beyonce before moving into K-pop and then moving back to British and American pop music, so it’s a fun mix and really does de-stress me.
That song has been my favorite song for over fifteen years (well, in my top three) and I never get sick of it. His cover is divine, and his voice is perfect for it.
OK, I’ma just leave this here and let my tags speak for themselves, since I’m too tired to write them out again. (Full disclosure: the GIFs are not mine, I just got really effusive in the tags when reblogging.)
I strongly suspect this month’s theme is going to lead to a lot of new playlists for me. Today realized I somehow didn’t have a drama instrumental playlist. Remedying this immediately and revisiting some old faves, like this one.
I was in tears from laughing through it.
I died when Yi-na tried to back out from the airport parking lot. That was me when I first got my license and I even kicked my cousin out of the car to help me back out which was even more confusing lol.
I missed Yi-na but the show must go on.
Watching my mother try to parallel park is basically a highlight of any driving experience with her. Once she took so long that people started gathering around and clapping when she finally made it into the spot. She’s literally had strangers offer to park for her she’s so terrible at it.
Good-bye School 2017. I never planned to watch you but now that I have, the good-byes are bittersweet. I’m sad to see you go. You are the perfect example of what a youth drama done right is — sweet friendships, cute relationships, raw emotions, and the youthful realization that life keeps moving forward.
I’m happy you were in my life these last few weeks, so thank you for the ride. I’ll suspect I’ll be revisiting you sooner than I expected.
I’m so happy my boys worked out their issues. One of my favorite storylines because both were hurting and needed to heal from Joon-gi’s death in their own ways before they could heal the friendship.
Honestly, I love the X squad’s interaction better than our OTP. I like Eun-ho and Tae-woon together, but it feels too much in the last 2-3 eps. There should be some breathing room where they also hang out with other people. Them constantly being together no matter the place burned their sweetness faster imo.
My sweet Sa-rang, I loved your brutal honesty and even bigger heart. I’d definitely want you on my team in a fight. Now if only you saw the sweet boy standing right in front of you.
SERIOUSLY. But overall I’m still happy with the series. And I half feel like the story with her mom made up for it, because she was just so awesome in it. (Granted I would have loved more cuteness, but if that’s not an option, this was just as good.)
It kind of depends on the mood, but some fluffy faves are Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo, Best Love, Answer Me 1997, Ex-Girlfriend Club, Marriage Not Dating,
One More Happy Ending and Ho-gu’s love. What’s about you?
Now that I’ve watched the final episode I can say I love the series even with its recourse to the X plot, but the one thing I am saddest about is that Sarang and Kyungwoo + Issue’s storyline got cut 😭 Though I can kind of see how whatever scenes were retained were more important for the story’s cohesion…

Not mine, so I can’t take credit for it. But it is one of the few I’ve seen which features only the girls, which I really liked.
