Beanie level: Water maid

Had a tough week at work…gonna go sulk in the corner ala weird second male lead from My Girlfriend is a Nine Tailed Fox who I never fully understood. His theme song is legit doe.

Having conversations about kpop with my coworker while trying to convince myself that no, I’m not a kpop fan. That ship may have now sailed…lol

Also this 10 cm song is amazingly peppy

So I recently finished My Girlfriend is a Gumiho and started Flower Boy Next Door and the character Enrique is basically the male version of Shin Mina’s Gumiho character. They’re both just puppies as persons lol. Anyway I’m kinda obsessed with this super cute video and song…10 cm is some of the best Korean music I’ve heard.

Both dramas are super cute with super cute OST! ❤❤❤ Miho and Enrique: playful energetic fuzzyballs. 😍

Bride of Habaek is at its end this week…was a bit of a disappointment that this drama didn’t live up to its epic potential but ah well I stuck around to the confusing plot-holey end

Y’all I levelled up to Water Maid but i dunno what a water maid is. I haven’t watched enough sageuks! Recommend me one feat a water maid please?
In the meantime the closest thing I know would be So-ah, the water god servant

Manhole Episode 2 Thoughts:

~I’m not feeling the supporting cast and I don’t find them funny.
~Male lead is truly pathetic and he’s a little slow, took him too long to realize he had the power to change his future. Also male lead is selfish and nothing he has done so far has made me warm up to him or even root for him.
~I still like Uee’s character the best, she’s the only one who doesn’t seem insane. Albeit her impatient texting makes her seem a bit self-absorbed.
~Less use of the narrator this time around but interesting choice to have a narrator interjecting sometimes.
~I liked the ending scene where we see how the little changes impacted his life greatly.
~Overall not sure if I’ll continue but may give ep 3 a watch and then decide.

Random: I wanted to take a screenshot of a scene I did like from Manhole but Kocowa wouldn’t let me rewatch the episode and gave me this stupid message instead. See picture below, ugh.

That’s ridiculous! Is that on their free service that you can only watch it once or are you paying for it?

It did that to me when I paused my phone to go to my laptop. You can watch as many times as you want, just no more than one device at a time.
Though you can only register the devices total, so that sucks.

Yes on their free service so I didn’t even have to create an account. Therefore the b.s. of streaming on multiple devices makes no sense if I don’t even have an account. I tried to replay the episode and it just wouldn’t let me. The thing with Kocowa is that their website is grammatically incorrect and things are nonsensical or contradictory. They need to hire a fluent English speaker to write for the website.

I really wanted to like this drama but after one episode I could not continue. Agree the male lead is not likable and if he had not fallen into the manhole he would still not change.

First impressions on Manhole episode 1

~This is wacky crazed humor and I LOLed maybe twice, not sure this is my sense of humor
~So far I like the female lead more than the male lead
~The male lead is insane and most definitely has not been in love for 28 years, it’s fine to say she’s my lifelong love but shut it about “twenty eight years”
~We have a narrator introducing all the characters…interesting
~Way too much screaming going on in the first ep.
~Also so much second hand embarrassment
~I give every kdrama 2 eps to impress me so I’ll watch tonight again, hope that the time travel improves things

Random:
~I heard Red Velvet’s “Red Flavor” playing during the bar scene (yay for my very limited kpop knowledge)
~La La Land movie reference

So many time travel related dramas lately))
I’m kinda amazed they manage to add a new spin to this trope.
    So far Jin-Sook my fav))

US Peeps…where will Manhole be available? Viki is saying it is content blocked for my region 🙁

Will I have to use Kocowa then? eek…

If you have a Viki subscription and don’t want to see it go to waste, you can use a VPN, set it to a European country like Germany and you should then be able to watch it. Let me know if it works out for you.

Just in case, the Opera browser has a built in VPN and it’s free.

    Kocowa makes me angry.

LOL I ended up using it last night to watch Manhole…and the weird block subs bothered me a bit, they were blocking things I wanted to see sometimes which is why I bothered checking if I could change them and nope :/

Also, only english subtitles? are they serious?

But at least I didn’t need to create an account to watch the episode.

So this is one of the best things I’ve ever seen…a cover of Yu Seung Woo’s song “45.7 cm” performed by Park Bo Gum <3

Also, check out Yu Seung Woo's original song as it is awesome.

Yay 🙂 I’m so glad I watched Secret Garden. I usually don’t like body switching freaky friday stuff, but this show was done so well and it’s even in my top 5. I loved Hyun Bin’s character.

Seoul is definitely a romantic city…even I, a simple commoner got to hold Lee Jong Suk’s hand when I was there earlier this year.

Wow! Is that kind of like the Hollywood hand signatures? I want to hold Lee Jong Suk’s hands toooooo

Kind of, it’s like this wall they have at a hallway for one of the entrances of the Lotte department store in Myeongdong. They had handprints for Lee Min Ho, Lee Jong Suk, Ji Chang Wook, and others. I think it was the guys from the Seven First Kisses ad that Lotte did on Youtube. I kind of bumped into it by accident…that’s my favorite thing about Seoul, how there’s something interesting in like every corner or street alley 😀

Sooo Lee Jong Suk is the 2017 Korea tourism ambassador. Here is on of my favorite videos from the series “What’s Your Dream Trip to Korea?”

Love his whisper at the end 😉

The lovely Park So Dam has played my favorite candy thus far in a drama, hope to see her in a drama this year!
Also, I really need to watch Misaeng, will the corporate world welcome me with open arms?

OMG I already levelled up to Jang Geu-rae…well then goodbye Candy status! In honor of my progress and as a goodbye to my newbie status, here’s my fave OST from Cinderella and Four Knights.
