If anyone’s curious there’s a hilarious true history podcast “The Dollop” with an episode called American Vampire Panic that is super fascinating and uhh also perhaps a bit gruesome.
Yup when you get time for sure. They’re great and I’ve seen them live but maybe it’s an acquired humor? It’s two male comedians delving into history. One researched the topic and one is hearing it for the first time. The listener reacts with the comedian. The events in this episode were pretty crazy especially since they’re all true.

I don’t see the need to put a fence around a cemetery. People inside won’t come out and people outside don’t want to go in…

Not sure if sarcasm…but some of the reasons are to stop vandalism, vagrancy, body snatching, animal waste and post death vampire prevention.
