Hands down ‘the best hit’ is the best thing on tv now. it’s a perfect ensemble drama, and yoon si yoon never looked this good, erm next to ‘flower boy next door’ of course.
Hands up to your words. Never came across a show that makes sense that it doesn’t make sense 😂 the laughter it’s causing man… I really wanna personally convey my appreciation to RA PDnim for giving us the best one hit.
IKR, the story is so good! I am totally sold by the script, which doesn’t dare to go all out, and give every single character memorable and funny lines.. from MJ to the super annoying idol girl to the kid mal sook to the harabuji, to Drill, to the bickering [ God I can’t stop], I love all of them!

Me too me too. It was a pleasant surprise since I had no idea that he can rap this well! I think I’m in love with his voice too, after YJG eee. And yes misaeng! The ultimate drama for the underdogs!

Secret forest is soo good, I\’m almost crying. How amazing is Cho Seung Woo? This show is almost a one-man show, have to give it to his almost non-vocal presence, and the expression of his eyes!
And my first ever time watching bae doo na, she’s so cute with the way she’s always complaining about the fact that the prosecutor never asks up about her lol. Loving the duo!
Watching circle makes me all worked up and hyperactive as I felt last time watching the bathtub episode on ‘stranger things’. Because you know something great is waiting for you ahead. ??
Lol so I was just saying how Park Shi Hoo should never get a chance to do dramas again, and that got me two down votes! On a serious note, it’s disturbing how he still has fans who supports him. Sad.
To be fair, since we don’t know celebs in person, we can never know what really went on and what the truth behind any scandals is. If it’s naive to keep supporting someone as a fan after they reportedly did something illegal, it’s also naive to believe that they’re horrible people based on what the media says and not based on being a witness or police officer or court official involved in the case.
I have only ever seen one drama with PSH and don’t really care if I never see another, but just wanted to point out that it’s not necessarily more sad that people defend him than that you said he should never work again, since both opinions are not based on factual knowledge 🙂
There is a video where the drunk girl is seen with him. You can do some search online if you want. I think it is sad to see that people would actually call the girl names and what not in order to defend him, but that doesn’t justify his actions in the smallest bit. Even if he had sex with her while she was unconscious I would still call it a violation. So can’t just say I’m saying things out of nonfactual knowledge. 🙂
If there’s video footage of the actual assault, that’s of course a different matter, even though that can also be fabricated these days (yes, I’m suspicious of everything lol). I don’t think assault can be justified in any way, but I haven’t read up on the scandal and was just recalling how many times people have instantly proclaimed someone innocent or guilty based on some gossip-site articles that may or may not have been translated correctly.
I don’t generally go beyond a few soompi articles when it comes to scandals, because I mainly do it to catch the references and such on variety shows.

Tbh I don’t care whether the media says he did it or not. They’re not necessarily right and I don’t know any of the involved parties personally, that’s why I keep replying with generalized answers 🙂 If he did do it, yes that’s completely and utterly horrible, but we’ll never know with 100% certainty if did or didn’t.

I’m saying that news may not have as much credibility as we like to think. It’s a sad world we live in. Lies become supposed truths every second of the day. I’m not saying you as an individual is not basing it on fact, I’m saying that we as the public in general can’t say anything about celebrities with any factual certainty. Especially when it comes to news from countries whose language we don’t speak (of course, you may be able to speak Korean, I don’t know, just saying that a lot of people getting vocal about these things don’t speak it), because a lot is lost in translation.

If he really did do what they said he did, then yes, I’m not sure I’d ever want to hire him if I was a PD. Oh sorry, maybe I didn’t properly perceive the gist of your first post until now. I do get that we shouldn’t be quick to judge people, but of all the news that I read, most said the same thing , so I took them as the truth. Since I don’t live in SK, and I won’t know if the truth is being manipulated or not. I mean online news would be my only source of information in case of any Korean actors. So if this news is a fabrication then I may have to be skeptical about every other news that I read online about kmedia :S.

You’re right that they’re projecting something different in front of us, but it’s hypocrisy imo, as the person who’s doing the presentation makes the job of moving me/ or inspiring me..( technically at least). For example: ( you see this beautiful movie and the lead actress is a murderer IRL, would you be able to enjoy the piece?). I am giving an extreme example I guess, but my point is, part of the reason why we look up any actor is because we admire their work. When that factor is there, but the person himself is evil, would you still want to checkout his repertoire? I don’t watch anything except KDramas these days so can’t tell how it is for Hollywood, but in kmedia I do try to stay away from work of actors who were involved in questionable activities like LBH.

I think I’m just generally a cynic who’ve seen too much of the bad side of people to take things like news, no matter what country or type of news, at face value lol.
And yes, I agree. Lots of calling the women names whenever such a “scandal” is reported, which is just awful. In general, the internet is just full of people calling other people names 🙁
Maybe the difference for me is that I never look up to actors. I admire their work, yes, but not the person, just their skills. If I end up fascinated by the persona they show when they’re not acting, I know that that might just as well be acting too and thus I don’t get too disappointed if I hear something bad about them. People we like, know, love, see every day, also wear masks and can turn out to be untrustworthy, cruel or any number of bad things, so why should expect people we don’t know personally to be any different?
It’s not that I condone celebrities doing bad or illegal things, it’s just that I don’t expect anything from people I don’t know.
Things that I didn’t like.
1. Ths directing kind of sucks. The editing is so choppy and the pacing is off. Would be too bad if they mess up such a good script.
2.The prosecutor character and the actress herself. She seems like acting onscreen which looks awful in the middle of all the suspense.
3. And maybe just me but I thought a mom instead of a dad would be more fitting for this show.
I don’t really mind that they use Dad character instead of Mom. But yes to the prosecutor character. She’s quite annoying and the acting just didn’t click for me. The only interesting thing right now is the clones. I’ll see the next 2 eps to decide whether I’ll continue watch it or not.
Yeah I don’t mind either..just felt Lee Bo Young would be perfect for these type of roles lol..but the actor playing the dad’s role is good too!
About the prosecutor yes, I think the actress is not good in playing villain’s roles, and her acting seemed very artificial and off putting to me. I’m also staying for the clones, and the back story. But the first so episodes were not bad, you should take a look, definitely! ^^
O.m.g my jaw literally dropped. Circle\’s latest episode kind of blew me away! Throw at me anything writers, I don\’t think I have seen anything this good in kdramas , in terms of science fiction!
Yeah I thought my brain would explode with all these great twists. This is such a wonderful thought out story, genius even. I want more of it and I’m actually not even that much into sci fi.
Oh tell me about it, I’m not into sci fi either, but with all the plot twists,and like how they keep us guessing every minute, I don’t understand half of the story and I don’t care at all! So glad that they are maintaining the quality through and through. Like how different smart earth is from normal earth, the architecture, those white desolate rooms and the sky high buildings , so they are taking care of the minute details, goes without saying. And kim kang woo would be my newest bae , probably erm, along side ye jin goo heheh. And the music too, everything is so cleverly put, in short. Sorry for the rant again hahah.
Well, because I’m so captivated by the story itself I haven’t even mentioned all the other great stuff in this drama. You are obviously right that it is super high quality. They created those two timelines and worlds very meticulously. The architecture in Smart Earth is so fitting with its sleek and modern look, where as the shabby look of Normal Earth is in stark contrast. And don’t get me even started on the actors! Every single one is perfect in their role, but a special shout out to Gong Seung-yeon. She really made me believe that she is two different people.
Oh gong seung yeon is slaying with the alien’s deadpan face! I have seen her before but this role clearly suits her the most among all her roles till now. And agree with all that you said.^^
I started nobunaga, and episode 1 was a roller coaster ride! But then from random spoiler read, got to know that the ending is sad? . .Now too scared to watch rest of the episodes. Drama dilemmas.. to watch or not to watch -_-.
hmmm if you watch just the drama you should be okay! yet the way the drama ended you may feel compelled to watch the movie … ouroboros is pretty dark … so if you are avoiding darker things … i might suggest something else. he’s been in a wide range of things … let me know what you are looking for and i can see what i can suggest. older but a off-beat classic is stand up!!
Oh I would love to get recommendations based on different genres. I don’t mind dark story lines, so classics, grim noir anything is fine by me. About nobunaga, yeah I think I will go back to it, since it has got rave reviews. Would be looking forward to your list heheh. ^^

You’re right that they’re projecting something different in front of us, but it’s hypocrisy imo, as the person who’s doing the presentation makes the job of moving me/ or inspiring me..( technically at least). For example: ( you see this beautiful movie and the lead actress is a murderer IRL, would you be able to enjoy the piece?). I am giving an extreme example I guess, but my point is, part of the reason why we look up any actor is because we admire their work. When that factor is there, but the person himself is evil, would you still want to checkout his repertoire? I don’t watch anything except KDramas these days so can’t tell how it is for Hollywood, but in kmedia I do try to stay away from work of actors who were involved in questionable activities like LBH.
And btw I’m not offended at all! 🙂 It’s always nice to have discussions from different perspectives and POV. It’s late here in my side lol so I didn’t get your observation right the first time. 🙂 And maybe I couldn’t convey my POV across lol. Thanks regardless!

I think I’m just generally a cynic who’ve seen too much of the bad side of people to take things like news, no matter what country or type of news, at face value lol.
And yes, I agree. Lots of calling the women names whenever such a “scandal” is reported, which is just awful. In general, the internet is just full of people calling other people names 🙁
Maybe the difference for me is that I never look up to actors. I admire their work, yes, but not the person, just their skills. If I end up fascinated by the persona they show when they’re not acting, I know that that might just as well be acting too and thus I don’t get too disappointed if I hear something bad about them. People we like, know, love, see every day, also wear masks and can turn out to be untrustworthy, cruel or any number of bad things, so why should expect people we don’t know personally to be any different?
It’s not that I condone celebrities doing bad or illegal things, it’s just that I don’t expect anything from people I don’t know.

Things that I didn’t like.
1. Ths directing kind of sucks. The editing is so choppy and the pacing is off. Would be too bad if they mess up such a good script.
2.The prosecutor character and the actress herself. She seems like acting onscreen which looks awful in the middle of all the suspense.
3. And maybe just me but I thought a mom instead of a dad would be more fitting for this show.

I don’t really mind that they use Dad character instead of Mom. But yes to the prosecutor character. She’s quite annoying and the acting just didn’t click for me. The only interesting thing right now is the clones. I’ll see the next 2 eps to decide whether I’ll continue watch it or not.

Yeah I don’t mind either..just felt Lee Bo Young would be perfect for these type of roles lol..but the actor playing the dad’s role is good too!
About the prosecutor yes, I think the actress is not good in playing villain’s roles, and her acting seemed very artificial and off putting to me. I’m also staying for the clones, and the back story. But the first so episodes were not bad, you should take a look, definitely! ^^

O.m.g my jaw literally dropped. Circle\’s latest episode kind of blew me away! Throw at me anything writers, I don\’t think I have seen anything this good in kdramas , in terms of science fiction!

Oh tell me about it, I’m not into sci fi either, but with all the plot twists,and like how they keep us guessing every minute, I don’t understand half of the story and I don’t care at all! So glad that they are maintaining the quality through and through. Like how different smart earth is from normal earth, the architecture, those white desolate rooms and the sky high buildings , so they are taking care of the minute details, goes without saying. And kim kang woo would be my newest bae , probably erm, along side ye jin goo heheh. And the music too, everything is so cleverly put, in short. Sorry for the rant again hahah.

Well, because I’m so captivated by the story itself I haven’t even mentioned all the other great stuff in this drama. You are obviously right that it is super high quality. They created those two timelines and worlds very meticulously. The architecture in Smart Earth is so fitting with its sleek and modern look, where as the shabby look of Normal Earth is in stark contrast. And don’t get me even started on the actors! Every single one is perfect in their role, but a special shout out to Gong Seung-yeon. She really made me believe that she is two different people.

I started nobunaga, and episode 1 was a roller coaster ride! But then from random spoiler read, got to know that the ending is sad? . .Now too scared to watch rest of the episodes. Drama dilemmas.. to watch or not to watch -_-.

hmmm if you watch just the drama you should be okay! yet the way the drama ended you may feel compelled to watch the movie … ouroboros is pretty dark … so if you are avoiding darker things … i might suggest something else. he’s been in a wide range of things … let me know what you are looking for and i can see what i can suggest. older but a off-beat classic is stand up!!

haha i hope you like it … it’s kinda slow and cute about an anti-social vet but it starts Narimiya Hiroki (gokusen also) and Inoue Mao (hana yori dango).
haha some rumor articles said that apparently MatsuJun liked Nakama Yukie (Yamaguchi Sensei) too … but that let some hard feelings … I don’t know how true that is … but it was amusing none the less (^O^)
