That’s what I was wondering too. Is he still alive? Has he seen the movie and just not come forward? Was he killed in 1980 for helping the reporter? Does anyone know who he actually is? Or did he keep what he did a secret? I guess we’ll never know.

Right? The movie was hopeful with him being alive but yeah, what if he was killed for helping out Hinzpeter? That’s darn tragic considering how he waited to meet him until the day he died.
