I was supposed to be making TLAHL posts for you but instead I did like three washes and made a cake… O.O

I wouldn’t say it’s better than TLAHL posts but not bad! 😜

Idk man… cake is pretty good… although I’m sure TLAHL WITH cake would be the best combination…

        True true!
Maybe you could even start singing that Red Velvet song about cake! 😂

… *only knows like two RV songs* *woops*
Maybe our next TLAHL Drama Date will be cake instead of ramen. Actually making red velvet cake to eat whilst watching would be pretty cute… heh.

It’d be quite appropriate, yes. 👌🏼😄

            But overall, food + K-dramas = happiness

Hee… I think it was from their debut album but not sure..

You know how to make red velvet cake? That’s pretty cool! I only know how to make basic cakes!

Food and kdramas is the best combination. With maybe a glass of wine also. 👌🏼 mwah 👌🏼 perfection

          1

I am more of a whiskey/beer/soju kinda girl.. but yeah food+kdrama+drinks is about perfect!

            0

Don’t like beer, whiskey yes, soju yes, but both are out of the roof expensive here. 😛
I mean, my wine tastes are expensive too… but you can find medium range nice ones. Not that I even drink that often…

Also uhm no I don’t know how to make Red Velvet cake but I’m good at following a recipe hahahaha! Also red velvet cake is just chocolate cake with red food colouring in it…

          1

Ah I didn’t know that! I am more into buying a d eating rather than baking..

          The more you know haha.
Ahhh do you have good bakeries there?

          3
          1

We have good ones, yes. But none in my area.. I live in the suburbs which is mostly a residential area and the really good ones are in the more commercial zones.. Also the really good bakeries are really expensive!

I don’t go often though.. I love home-made food more than anything else so I only eat cakes/pastries on birthdays, some times when we eat out and the very rare times I bake at home- mostly eggless chocolate or apple cake..

            1
            0

Ahhh of course… all the good things are far away and expensive… hahaha

Ah fair enough. Lol if you ever come here I’ll take you to meet my sister… she’s always baking hahaha (MY REAL UNNIE HEHEHE)
          Eggless Chocolate?

          1
          1

            Ah yes! Reality of life!😅

Deal! (Lol the day when your real unni meets your virtual one! Actually 2 virtual unnis.. I am imagining Kaybee will be visiting with me! 😁)

Yup! My grandmom is a pure vegetarian… and if I am baking something, she always wants to try and gets irritated if I even think of making anything with eggs! Tastes good though.. I put home-made curd and a bit of milk.. it doesn’t fluff up as much but tastes really nice and doesn’t have that eggy smell

            2
            0

(Yes, two virtual unnies. You’re both coming for sure haha. She’ll be fine with it too, she’s used to my weird internet friends I think hahaha )

          Oooh… so is she vegan??
Hahaha that’s nice that you accomodate her though, and I’d eat it just from your vague description so, there you go! haha

          1
          1

(😊😊 Has she met any of your weird internet friends though?)

Yuss… she is! And thank you, I shall bake it for you when we meet then! *no that is not a threat* *I am just being nice*.. oh of course you will have to bake us sth good too!… why is this far-in-the-future trip sounding like a food trip! I will come to travel around NZ, not for food! 😝

I 100% relate to unplanned baking. (See: midnight brownies from two nights ago.)

    Plus who doesn’t love cake?

    8
    1

Kekekeke although it was semi planned because I had bananas that needed using. 😛 (you and your midnight brownies… just wait, that’ll be me one day)
I know lots of people that don’t actually but I like to pretend that everyone does.

I mean, when it comes to the cake v. pie debate, I’m pretty firmly on team pie (PIE IS DELICIOUS, FIGHT ME) but I still love cake. I have room in my heart(disease) for both.

Banana cake? Sounds delicious…which reminds me, I should use up some of the bananas in my freezer and make some banana bread sometime soon. Maybe my next midnight baking project.

Tiramisu is my favourite dessert and that’s neither pie nor cake… so \o.o/
A well made cake is delicious indeed.

Banana cake indeed! It’s quick making time and is great to use them overripe bananas sitting on the bench going black… kekeke
          Oooooh yes! I approve!

I made a lot of banana bread and apple cake when I was in uni, since we always had a lot of both and they were easy to make.

Technically, ice cream is my favorite dessert, but I’m really game for pretty much anything but a fruit plate. (I mean, fruit is nice, but if you really care about me you’ll give me something that will shorten my lifespan also.)

            6

Ah yes, nice! We have four apple trees and every second year we get a bumper crop so… needless to say there’s a lot of apple desserts. haha

Pffffahahahaha! I looooove fruit. Especially seasonal ones. Peaches, watermelon, cherries… but I don’t really consider them dessert. More like, after dessert… if there is a bowl of cherries, I will eat the whole thing if you let me loose… hehe

          6
          1

Yeah, my aunt used to send me massive bags of apples from her trees in uni so we’d have loads (but there were six of us in our house so they got eaten). Many many apple pies and cakes were made.

There’s nothing wrong with fruit, per se. As I get older I appreciate it more, and I love my seasonal fruits. (Tomorrow is farmer’s market day and I’ve been loving the end of season peaches and raspberries which have been particularly good this year.) But my mother thinks it’s acceptable to cut up an apple and call that dessert. I’ve let her know I’ll have none of that nonsense when I’m at home.

Ahhhhhhhh the life. Maybe… at least in terms of apples.

OH FOR IT TO BE SUMMER HERE ALREADY SO I CAN EAT MY SUMMER FRUITS
Pfffffft no. No that is not a dessert lmao!!!
Like you said, something that SHORTENs one’s life span is by far the most acceptable dessert.

Haha, @irishrah told me about your TLaHL posts and how it’s garnering so much love (no surprise), and oh boy, I’ve got A LOT to catch up on! Have fun with TLaHL, but don’t forget that we still need to finish Project Moonlight! Haha.

Three washes? Like, laundry? Do you live alone, mate?
What kind of cake didja make?

    9
    1

Hehehe… yes my LAHL watching has finally begun.
OH I AM AWARE OF THAT VERY MUCH. I am probably gonna end up bingeing it since October is fast approaching! Eeek!

Laundry, yes, and no, I don’t… we just hadn’t done a wash in a couple days so I did a towel wash, a wool wash, and washed one of the rugs from the lounge.
      BANANA! 😀

I totally thought the same, too! We still have a little over a month, but I’ve also been taking my sweet li’l time, but idk why I’m so lazy to watch it.

        Ahhh, I see, I see.
Mm. Bananas are my least favorite kind of fruit/flavor, but I think a banana cake sounds pretty good. It’s definitely a more fun alternative to finish bananas in the house!

        3
        2

Ugh same… I have so many dramas on the go right now, like what am I doing, idk…

I seem to remember we had a conversation about you not liking bananas… hahaha
Have you ever had it before?

          3
          1

Smh… idk either, Sic, I really do not know. 😂 It’s ‘kay! We goin’ do this! We got this. *folds arms and leans to the side and waits for you to do the same so we can be in this cool and confident pose together* … don’t ask, just do. 🙃

Totally! I told you before in one of my posts! Have you tried the famous Korean banana milk that they always drink in K-dramas? It was definitely not as good as I thought it’d be.
Banana cake? I don’t think I have! But I can kinda imagine the taste, though. Haha. Was yours fluffy?

            3
            0

*stares at you for a bit* *devils advocate don’t wanna follow a trend* *succumbs eventually*

I’ve had one kind of banana milk! I don’t know if it was the famous kind but it was alright. Kinda watery? But I liked it at the time Haha.
Now I want banana milk. But better stuff.
YOU HAVEN’T? Wow… not as fluffy as it could be but it was still tasty tasty.

          1

*grins and giggles to see you following suit, but quickly goes back to my cool and confident demeanor*

Ha, idk if I’ve tried The Famous Banana Milk, either, tbh, but it was meh. I’ll give it another chance the next time I see it, just to really be sure.
Ooh! Better stuff than banana milk is this:

This stuff is delicious! Have you ever tried these?

I haven’t! I’ll look up a recipe one day and let you know when I give it a shot! … or if I ever run into some banana cake irl, I’ll just buy some! Haha.
