I heard a remake of Rubi (the telenovela) is planned for this year. I don’t know if anyone can top Bárbara Mori’s portrayal of Rubi and she’s so beautiful !

    Random but I am excited that I know at least something of what you are talking about- Barbara Mori because of that one Bollywood movie she starred in!

      Oh yeah I don’t remember the title but I know it’s pretty famous. Her telenovela is actually more known where I live haha.

        It was called Kites if I remember correctly.. I actually went to the cinemas to watch it for Hrithik Roshan but don’t remember liking it as much as I expected to! Are you from Latin America? I am learning Spanish so was actually looking at a few telenovelas available in the library and thinking of watching them..

          I only heard of it because my cousins are into Bollywood.
          I’m French actually but I’ve watched a good amount of telenovelas. Más sabe El diablo is mu favorite but it might be better to begin with classics like Amarte asi (Frijolito), Rubi, Da Cor do Pecado (quirky and memorable characters), Marina, Yo soy Betty la Fea.
          Marimar, Maria la del Barrio, Rosalinda have the same actress and are must-watch.

            Thanks for the recs! I might start with ‘Yo Soy Betty la Fea’ cuz I have seen the Indian remake and would perhaps understand it more easily..

          The story is really good 🙂
          There is a lot of remakes of Yo Soy Betty la Fea. I even watched the German one XD

    Yes, she was pretty good as Rubi. I did not know they were making another remake. They did one a few years ago called Teresa.

        I liked it since they changed some of the story. The actress did a good job but I still prefer Rubi.😀
