I’m not Park Bo-young’s biggest fan but I do like that show. It was one of my intro K-drama dramas. There were some really good moments in there. Thinking about that show now, Jo Jung-suk is a freaking chameleon. Im Ju-hwan is pretty dang good as well.
The writing of Kim Seulgi’s character drove me insane. She, and everyone really, did such a great job acting wise, but the writer just dropped the ball on Seulgi’s character growth and backstory and it became a trial for me to watch. Of course I stopped watching when I think things started moving forward so I may go back and finish…one day.
I love her demeanor and her personality, but wish they had moved her beyond her constant seducing of Jo Jung Suk’s character faster. They spent soooo many episodes with her doing that and just that. She’s a complex character and so fun, but it just irritated me that she was just the horny ghost for so long. Plus her seduction antics, while humorous at times, could also be borderline uncomfortable. I’m probably reading too much into it, but it rubbed me the wrong way.
That was exactly my problem. I thought ‘This isn’t gonna work. We don’t even know who the real Na Bong Sun is…’ But it turns around. Really, you stopped 1 episode too soon. Plus, I was really into the ghosts story. I found it to be really sad.

“Oh My Ghostess” is the reason that I am considering if I should watch “Bride of the Water God”

Really? I thought the opposite. She was my favorite part of the story. But I think it’s because I can relate to her.
