I sort of foresaw it when they decided to pull a Reply 1988 on the viewers. I love both JH and HJ equally so I kind of low-key wish WS would end up with someone else outside of the rooftop group of friends, so their friendship wouldn’t be affected by the romance. I also hope they won’t pair HyeRi with JH because as much as I feel for her as a struggling idol I don’t think her moves on JH are excusable considering he has made it perfectly clear for her that he’s already interested in someone else.
Yeah tbh at some time, I thought HJ was shippable with BH, especially the rooftop scenes, but in any case, him without any GF, would do too. I kind of don’t see any chemistry between the actress playing WS and YSY. Also yes, hyeri is simply violating his privacy, he clearly said he has someone else in mind, which I thought was quite honest from his side, he didn’t want to make her hopes high, that’s how I saw it.
I agree. This is one show in which even each character doesn’t end up with a loveline, I’m fine. I’m fine with romance too, for the records, but I’d love it more if the show sticks to its comedic root.
I understand HyeRi would feel hurt and disappointed when rejected by someone she likes (who wouldn’t?), but I’d prefer if she would approach him again in a more subtle way and respect his personal space.
I guess chemistry is indeed subjective because I can sense chemistry between WS-HJ and WS-JH (ack!! 😆) but I still understand if WS-HJ pairing fails to convince you. To be very honest I personally think WS has a soft spot for JH and rejected him not entirely because she only sees him as a friend, as sometimes I’ve got the impression that she’s flustered at his gentleman-ish gestures. At this point I don’t get the impression that she’s completely fallen for any of the guys yet. Maybe my impression is wrong, but that’s how I feel.
Ah, I’m with you on this. I won’t mind either if there is no definite loveline or conclusion on romance at the end. For instance, like you said yeah WS doesn’t probably feel anything romantic for any of the guys yet, there are those momentary pauses, but the director/writer ignored or overlooked the prospect and make the moments pass away. So, maybe we should only take note of what the characters say out loud, instead of what they feel. 😀

Haha, yeah to me it seemed like she ‘can’ think of him as more than a friend, but as I said above, the writer doesn’t develop those moments and let them pass, so we’re back to square one, every time WS-HJ-JH are interacting.
On chemistry, I do suffer a lot because of this lol, most of the time rather than the actors it’s the story which becomes the decisive moments for me in terms of who to ship or not. So though I LOVE YSY, on TBH, I find the relationship of WS-JH lot more convincing, and interesting, their relationship can go from easy to attractive in a split second, but which isn’t the case for da bong and WS. Da bong actually suits WS as a servant, and I enjoy their relationship more in a platonic kind of way..until now, at least. -_-
