Oy, this show. Compelling chemistry between Yoo Inna and Jin Yi-han, but what was with that patchwork plot? An incidental murder mystery and a relationship conflict that’s beyond frustrating drag down what could’ve been a fun, quirky rom-com.

The first half was fine, for what it was—nothing deep or emotional, just a clumsy almost-courtship between an uptight guy and the girl who got away, which had enough comedic bits to keep things moving. Then the show got way too serious for its own good, everyone got stupid, and the comedy fizzled into drear.

Halfway between indie and trendy. Plotting is loose, but has a refreshing atmospheric feel and good directing. Unfortunately, I hate the main character.

Could’ve been so wacky and hilarious, but changed its mind halfway through and tried for earnest angst. We got tedious moping instead.

What began as quirky absurdist humor ended up just plain absurd.

A weird show, tonally—it’s a hodgepodge of crossdressing, flower boys, romantic comedy, melodrama, procedural, and paranormal. Anemic acting and strange writing make it a head-scratching experience. Song Jae-rim may be the only reason to watch this.

A pleasant surprise. The cases are solved simplistically and there’s never a true sense of danger because of the quick resolutions, but it’s a feel-good drama about little people fighting against corrupt big dogs (and winning).

Oh, I just loved this. The angst dragged longer than necessary but the first half was superb, twisting my heart in the best of ways. Seo Hyun-jin is excellent and elevates everything. The show lagged in the end, but it rode such a high at its peak.

This flawed, vulnerable heroine was really something amazing, thanks to Seo Hyun-jin. The romance never completely stole my heart, but I found the premise fresh and the characters satisfyingly complex.

Oh my goodness Park Bo-young is adorable. Chemistry is awesome, the comedy light and cute, the ghost mystery a little plodding. Worth it for the acting and romance.

Never have I watched a drama with SO little plot and cared so little about that—bubbly, adorable, and good-natured, this drama is worth watching only for the relationship of Shin Mina and So Ji-sub. Which thankfully is most of the drama.

Light and fluffy older-woman/younger-man, housekeeper-landlord romance. Choi Siwon’s charm carries the show. An easy, unchallenging watch.

A funny, heartwarming drama about a family who gets turned upside-down when a stray little duckling waddles into their lives.

A very simple story told in a beautifully complex way simply through artful direction. It’s a drama with sparse dialogue but a lot of emotion, and I’m pretty sure that the gorgeous visuals are what sold me on the forbidden romance.

Akin to getting your eyes poked out. I watched for Gong Yoo, but even he could not save this train wreck of a drama that takes every cliché and makes it worse, if that’s even possible.

Cute and comedic rom-com about a group of idols who’ve grown up into thirtysomething women. Only Jang Nara could make this flighty character endearing. It’s just too bad that the show is ultimately forgettable.

Bleh. I can’t remember why I bothered. Han Chae-young is pretty, but Jo Hyun-jae is wasted.

This marital body-swapper should have been uproariously funny. It had some amusing bits, but the couple was too aggravating to wish for reconciliation, thereby negating its entire point.

Short coming-of-age drama about classical musicians that integrates music in a compelling way. The young characters are so great that I wish it had more episodes to flesh out their stories.

A makjang dressed in cupcake clothing. Buy a cupcake and skip the drama.

The couple is SO cute together, and individually very appealing. Yet there’s so very little plot.

Nothing happens. Ever. Although I would probably watch these two actors weave baskets for twenty hours, so…

Starts strong — sweet, cute, hint of coming-of-age angst. But plot drags with simplistic twists and heavy-handed machinations, and acting ranges from decent to very spotty. Still an easy, pleasant watch and full of wonderfully revamped cover songs and performances.

The jerky directing is the biggest flaw; the writing is engaging at parts but random in others. Lead couple is well-acted and have charming chemistry.

The untapped potential of this drama nearly kills me. But the main characters are fantastic and funny, and so damn cute.

A truly winning couple in a sweet coming-of-age drama about going after your dream job. Park Shin-hye should only do rom-coms. And only with Lee Jong-seok.

Despite lack of conflict, the couple is sweet and Jung So-min lovable. But there’s so little story here.

It’s as undramatic as a drama can be, but the cute makes up for it…a little. Jung So-min carries it, although her character can be infuriating at times.

Quirky drama about four boys in one family all unlucky in love, life, or both. Wish it did a little more with its concept, but Kim Young-kwang and Yook Sung-jae get really cute lovelines that’ll keep you watching.

A satisfying caper drama with classic heist elements that’ll send you down a maze of twists and turns. Love the ensemble of misfits, but they barely scratched the surface with these characters, and left me wishing for more relationship development for all of them.
