I just saw on tumblr that the writers of DRT/SFD already had the idea for Circle for 7 years already. No wonder the plot is so tight and well thought-out!

      They are the creators/producers but there is a team of 4 writers in charge of writing the actual script. 🙂

        If you’ll notice they cast quite a few actors from SFD. Also YJG himself appeared in DRT.

    Well, good! It deserves that and more! I’m riding such a high right now because of this show. It’s exploring everything I wanted it to and more with such finesse. Here’s to hoping it continues to get more recognition!

      So true! Just when you thought you have everything figured out, the show drops the huge bomb on you. The way they release plot twist after plot twist… wow. This is a really well thought-out drama, and I’m so happy it ended up as such. I hope it breaks to 3% soon~~

The comments on naver talk page of Circle went from 18000+ from Monday’s episode to 25000+ today! And news articles finally stayed for a long time in the ranking articles of naver. Rise, Circle, rise.

      I’d study sorcery if that will make Circle rise hehehe~ Well, I don’t need to because both the story and acting are doing such a fantastic job. ;; – ;; THIS DRAMA JUST HAS A VERY GRIPPING AND INTENSE STORY THAT KEEPS BLOWING UP MY MIND EVERY TIME. This show deserves better.

        I think the genre is still very new to korean citizens and i doubt older korean citizens will have the strength to watch sci-fi haha and thats why the ratings isnt high but i heard a lot of younger koreans are commenting on how good the show is on naver.

          Yup that’s so true! Contrary to the premiere episode where the reviews were mixed, comments now are positively glowing, praising the writer, the actors, etc. And since last week, people who watched the show have been putting up their own theories and now everyone’s minds have been officially blown. I try to keep up with the talk page of Circle cos I really want to see what the feedback is, and I’m very happy that those who have watched it are really enjoying the show. Like, how can you not when you get plot twist, not just per episode but per part!

        This is why I hate that I love watching thrillers. Plus this is an ongoing one. We suffer while we’re watching. Yet we also suffer when we don’t – waiting for new episodes is a torture.

    Yessss!!! Omg, so first off, I am so glad they paced things the way they did, because the entire first half, I was like torn between shouting at the screen, like DON’T TRUST THE ALIEN WOMAN, but then also really excited that they were solving mysteries.

    And WTF that blue worm thing ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I can’t believe Woojin put that thing up to his face! And let it crawl on his skin! Ahhhhhh!!!

    AND! I since the first half made it so obvious that Bluebird was such a big piece of the puzzle, it started to ping me as weird that Joonhyuk didn’t have a strong reaction to Bluebird and in fact seemed to want to recruit Bluebird to the team. So super excited for the final reveal that he in fact does not remember who he is!

    And how much do I love that Hosoo is getting his own backstory?? Poor baby! He must have loved his girlfriend so much!! I’m keeping my fingers crossed that he’s going to be recruited onto the detective team!

    Who do you think the chairman is? In episode 2, I was convinced it was going to be Alien Woman, until we saw the phone… but now we know that Bum gyun dropped his phone after being kidnapped… so I think I’m switching back to Alien Woman?? Dunno~~

      I am still questioning whether or not she is even an alien!!! Hahahaha. I was thinking at first it was Woo-jin, but people were speculating that it may be the professor. Who knows!! Bluebird is supposed to be some hacker that is why Joon-hyuk wanted to recruit him, maybe they have it wrong and Bluebird isnt Human B but trying to put blocks up to prevent Human B from doing worse? Could the ‘alien’ girl Bluebird, who in turn would be Human B and therefore the Chairman???? Or could Woo-jin be Bluebird and therefore the Chairman? He said he thought erasing memories was OK.

      Too many puzzles!!! I love this show so so so much. It is the best blend of mystery and sci-fi. I love speculating and conjecturing all the different possibilities. I am trying to think of another show in recent years that had my brain working as hard as this.

        Even if you’ve given tons of theories already… they’re still gonna give you something to drop your jaw for! This show’s sooo intenseee… I’m so sad for the dropping ratings but gah I’m so, so, so happy about the way this show’s going

        Now that you mention it (still questioning whether or not she is an alien)… you’re right! They’ve already referenced a few times… the possibility that Bluebird is an AI. So maybe she is an android…?

        So sad I missed out on the commenting frenzy last night… went to bed early… lol. OTL

      Gikwang really did shine in this episode! His acting was really great and shit’s just gonna keep going down.. I’ve only seen the raw so far so I didn’t understand much of the conversation in Part 2 but damn that endingggg… I knew they’re not just gonna give away Joonhyuk’s true identity with Ep 2’s gigantic cluess

          Yup, I actually already have the episode downloaded to my phone with subs.. I just couldn’t watch it yet cos I’m at work hahahaha.. Same haven’t seen him on anything before but his acting was really an amazing surprise. They don’t have any blackhole actor in this drama, I’m very pleased!

        He definitely is one of the brothers if we go by what is being shown. And his memories are completely gone, so it makes sense that the name Bluebird doesn’t ring any bells.

          When they showed the twins both doing the rubik’s cube puzzle and I’m like OMGGGGGG and this episode did prove that the memory flashback that Joonhyuk had in episode 2 were indeed BOTH from the POVs of both brothers! THIS SHOWWWW

      Same. Jackpot maybe not be everyone’s cup of tea but I loved it. It stayed close to the history with Prince Yeoning’s relationship with his mother and Jin-goo perfectly portrayed that.
      Sometimes it was frustrating but he loved and honored her throughout his life.

        I loved this drama too. It will be a boring drama, if you are only looking for romance. The same reason why Rebel didn’t get so much attention as well.

      He really was. The sadness and frustration that he couldn’t do anything to honor his mother was just so heartbreaking to watch. This is the scene that really left the most impact to me.

      YES! Just the way he showed his despair in this scene is just mindblowing. Sometimes, I really want Hwayi 2, but then the story won’t have the same impact as this one. But just imagine Jingoo now playing Hwayi as an adult. Damn. @_@

      I’m also very happy he gets to reunite again with Hwayi’s director and Kim Yoonseok! It’s just a special appearance role, however it sounds like a really heavy one so I’m really looking forward to it.

        I’ve read about his role there, and I knew right away why the director chose him. A few minutes of him onscreen is enough to stir the emotions of the viewers.
