Isn’t it? I’ve been wanting a gif of one of her happy dances so it was perfect motivation.
She’s too cute.
I used Instagiffer and the capture screen option. It was a lot easier than i thought. 🙂
Yes, it totally is! Excellent job! It looks great. 🙂
I loved Choi Ae-ra, too. She was a great character and made me an official Kim Ji-won fangirl.
Okay, so I’ve actually been playing around with Instagiffer, but the Capture Screen option wasn’t really nice with me. It didn’t give me a lot to play around with, editing-wise. My gif ended up looking really choppy because I couldn’t even use the Smoothness function since I used the Capture Screen option. Yours came out great for using the CS option. I tried using the Load Video option, and the gif came out much smoother and clearer. Basically, I like it and I’ll keep it, but my go-to will still be Giphy. Haha. Thanks so much for sharing about Instagiffer, though! I appreciate it! I’ll play around with it some more.
I really hope Kim Ji-won keeps picking these great dramas. 👍🏽
oOooO you were able to use the load video option? I used a portion of my viki window to get just Ae-ra. I wonder if maybe that had something to do with the smoothness. Mmm Using the capture screen option it already had my smoothness at 11. I also used the delete frames section so I could only have the dancing frames. I actually uploaded it to Giphy after I finished it. I tried GIPHY first but I wasn’t able to figure out how to use. 😊 I’m going to give it another try tomorrow. Thanks for letting me know it’s worth another try.
And yes, you can just copy+paste a YouTube link (or one of their approved video sources) into the long box and then click Load Video, and make the gif that way.
Oh wow, so maybe the smoothness level depends on the quality of the video when using the Capture Screen option. I guess that makes sense. Either way, while I appreciate Instagiffer, I think it kinda takes long to make one gif and I don’t like how I can’t preview the gif while I’m making it, either.
Giphy is really simple and easy once you get the hang of it. 🙂 The only disadvantage is that you can only make gifs last for 10 seconds or less, and you can’t edit the color and/or brightness of the gif. I’m not gonna be picky because it’s still a great and free way to make gifs. It’s definitely worth another try! I love it.
Thanks! Maybe I’ll try a YouTube variety show video link for a GIPHY gif. 🙂
I can preview the gif on instagiffer I click and hold down one of the arrows at the bottom on the preview window on the right. If you click it once it just goes to the next second but if you hold it down it moves fast so you can see how the gif works 🙂 I really like how it lets you delete frames so you get exactly the scenes you want.
But I really like having multiple services to choose from for gifs especially since I just started to make them 🙂
And ahhh~ okay, I’ll have to try that because I never got it to show me a preview of the entire gif. Thanks for sharing!
I really like the option of cutting out unwanted parts of the gif, too. Really comes in handy.
I agree, it’s nice to have alternative options for when one program doesn’t do everything you need it to.
