OMG!! Chingu-ah~~~ I already graduated, but I was a film studies major too!!! It always bugged me when people were like “oh you want to make movies” No. I want to watch them. Hahaha. I’m not in production! 😣😂 Wong Kar Wai is one of my all time favorite directors. I love all his works but Chungking Express I love love. But the soundtrack and cinematography for In the Mood for Love were amazing!!!!
“I could’ve had class. I could’ve been a contender. I could’ve been somebody…”
Waahhh! Its so good to see a fellow beanie who is a FS major 😀
haha, I can totally relate, people assume that about me all the time, and then when I pout and say i am not studying production, they sort of make a disappointed face. Its kinda funny.
Yes I love how music in his films melt into his scenes, for instance the dancing scene in ‘Happy Together’, the music in that scene, you can slice through it. The OST in ‘In the mood for love’ , so poignant and sad, beautiful!
Honestly whenever I hear California Dreaming, I picture Faye dancing to it, the movie is a masterpiece. I recently heard they closed the midnight express stall , and I was so angry, like is nothing sacred anymore?
See you around chingu ^.^
I have a bachelor’s in film too! I did part production and part theory. I love both sides of it, though now it’s harder to shut off my brain when I watch films lol. (Not that you ever should really, but we all enjoy some fluff sometimes)
Hey there @Jig ^.^
Agree lol, sometimes we watch for the fluff, but yeah its hard not to dissect a film while watching, after hours of classes on analysis 😛
