      hopefully. still, there is a straw also. I need to look into whether the coffee shop chain has recycling policy or do they just send the sorted stuff to landfill. there was an article of several chains doing that for cost cut.

    I was searching but it is probably an information the chains dont want you to find. instead I found a place in South Africa called Coffee Bay, where volunteers work with locals in re-purposing waste, like planting vegetables or making accessories. and while doing that, the locals can learn english for free. Neat, I think. It is a drop in the ocean but if everyone does something…
    I am thinking of writing directly to the companies even if I get a generic answer. I am just curious and once I get an idea, I hardly ever give up.

    I’m guilty for using plastic, but I always try my very best to recycle whenever I can. Oftentimes, I even go outta my way by holding onto recyclables until I come across recycling bins. When I don’t, I just take whatever junk I have home with me and recycle it there. Reduce, reuse, recycle!

If I´m honest, the main kids and the sense of humor is the only good thing about School 2017. The grown-ups and teachers are so greatly exaggerated. I cannot believe every single grown up except class teacher is so corrupt and allowed to discriminate like this. There are some ethics after all. I feel like they are doing injustice to teachers with this series. It will discredit the image with exaggerations. It gets the basic character of a teacher wrong, they are people whose goal is to better the society and help students become full persons. But that´s not what I am seeing? I am on ep 5 for now. So even though I am flabbergasted, it feels overblown. Will it get better? Cause in other case I am dropping it.

    The teachers do get a little better yes. They start being a bit more proactive.
    But the realism of the canon school system is a bit unrealistic overall tbh…

    The real side of the teachers are revealed later. Only one remains a coward and the principal is basically a joke(he is intended to be one!). This show does parody some of the issues of the Korean education system, exaggerating them to make a point. However, I can imagine how reality might not be too far from what we see in the drama.

      I get that, even if it is hard to believe it, but it is kind of a little insulting to those teachers who do work hard to help their students. I believe in reality the corrupt kind is not a vast majority. right? so it can be hard to endure and unfairly discrediting towards good teachers. if you say they end up changing, then good. that would be fair. teaching is a difficult job as it is. I hope kids don´t start to see their teachers through the eyes of first 5 episodes in this drama

    The setup of the school is cartoonish, but the emotional struggles and insecurities of the characters are true.

    Since you like the main characters, stick it out for a couple more episodes? Where the plot leaves some things to be desired (especially in the first 4 episodes or so), there are a lot of character-centred scenes that make up the heart of the show.

watching Save Me makes my heart so heavy so I started School 2017 and must say my sympathies to the class teacher. Oh I remember when I was a green li`l teacher. Hang in there, it will come. some day.

      not quite, I used to work at school, but all the forms and evaluations were not for my character. Museum is a much more democratic learning place.

          I also couldnt handle stress those days, but the museum and all the workshops have kind of turned me into a very level-headed person who takes everything calmly. teachers who bring their class to the museum sometimes wonder why I am so chill with crazy teens. but I don´t think I could be like this if I was with them every day.

            I am better with teens than with little kids – these things cling, drool, chat about nonsense non-stop and fall asleep mid-tour… on your foot. Plus I don´t know what to do when a toddler talks about their bothers´ dead hampster and then starts giggling. should I call exorcist? or do they have a restart button?

          it is a screencap from his instagram video, but I don´t know what it says in korean. I think they asked him “Do you know” and he said something like “I did not, really?” and he then starts explaining how to hold the gun. It really feels like, omg, I think he has been updated about his “Teacher” status. It does seem like that. I mean, I could be derailed, but…. I squealed when I saw that word in the video.
