Beanie level: Chaebol’s poor doppelganger

This sounds so badass. Definitely going to use this quote when ever I will get the chance.

Is this a new trope now, that kdrama villains get handsomer with every show?

So lets start a betting pool about My Secret Romance:
Is the kid really her brother or her (secret) son.
Will his father try to give her money to leave?
Will we see a wedding?
More entries are welcome

I think it’s quite obvious the kid’s not hers. Her mother got married at the same time as when Yoomi had her one stand with Jinwook. She’s treated Donggoo with barely any level concern and only sees him as a bit of nuisance. If the Donggoo is hers, she’s lost all of my respect based solely on how she treats him.

See I thought the same, but the preview made me doubt my conviction. But yeah, the way she treats him is really not ok, even for a little brother.

      2

Really? I didn’t get that from preview.

Maybe I´m deluding myself? 😀 I guess I will see tonight.

Wait, are you talking about the preview for at the end of episode 8 or 9?

The preview at the end of 8 for episode 9.

Ah, yes. That preview did make it seem like DG as YM’s son. Sorry, I thought you were talking about the preview at the end of episode 9 for episode 10.

(really sorry if I ruined the episode for you)

No worries, I guessed as much anyway 🙂

Same, preview had me rethinking if he was her son or brother, but either way he calls her mom sometimes and she’s a maternal figure that leaves him with a guy running a bar all the time. Hire a babysitter, daycare, don’t leave him in a bar (don’t get me started on the actual mom leaving him with her daughter’s boss 😤)

In regards to the other bets, my money says there will be a wedding, no doubt because this show is pure fan service.

Yeah I think the same too. Plus if he was truly her kid I would assume she wouldn’t have let him live with the person who has allegedly ruin her life. The show was just playing on the idea that he thinks the kid is his. Or at least it better.

I think she treats him really poorly if he’s actually her son, even as a kid brother, like mentioned above, it’s not really okay. On the other hand, isn’t her mom a bit old to have gotten pregnant? And why would she tell JW it’s her dog’s teddy etc, if he’s her mom’s son?

I think it does sort of lead up to it at times, especially with JW’s dad constantly mentioning wanting grandkids. And what about DG’s dad if he’s really her mom’s son? I get that they’re seperated, but does he not want to see his son? He seemed like a warm and loving person at the wedding.

I think there’s a lot of pros and cons for either and whether or not he’s actually her son or her brother, the writing sort of fails. So I try not to think too much about it while watching lol, it’s mostly just fanservice anyways 😛

I think Yoomi is embarrassed about the fact that her mother had Donggoo at an ‘advanced age’ so she doesn’t like to tell anyone about Donggoo.

Re: Donggoo’s dad, even at the wedding, he seemed embarrassed that YM’s mom put in her It’s About to Burst picture in the wedding picture slideshow, so it’s possible he no longer wants to be associated with her (although poor DG, it seems everyone is eager to hand him off to other people).

That poor kid is gonna grow up with some serious issues, seeing as he is never wanted anywhere.

At least Jin Wook treats him well, for now. Although it’s really unlikely to happen, I was really wishing for the kid to be her’s. The show starts off in a pretty unorthodox way–from the shows I’ve seen atleast–and it would have been cool if they kept that up. I haven’t seen that many rom-coms with a young family. Would have been so cool.

But to reiterate the above sentiments, I’ve always cringed whenever she referred to Dong Goo as her dog. So not cool.

They were great. I liked it later on when she wanted to go on a date just with him and he was doing the family thing?

It was funny, but at the same time I was a bit sad, because it felt like she really doesn’t want her little brother around. I get that she is ashamed of his existence, but at the same time he is just a little kid and it isn’t his fault for being born into her family.

I guess it will be ok once they sort out the misunderstanding about brother vs son.

Seriously, I almost feel thankful for the cliffhanger and the knowledge that I have to wait a week, because currently I am terrified. I shouldn´t have watched this episode with my light turned off.

    Really great! It’s Bo Gum!

I think it’s always the eyes that are the hardest. You know how they say it’s like a window into the soul? Well drawing lifelike eyes are the hardest thing inho. I think if you work on the eyes, you can perfect it. You pretty much bang on nailed everything else! ❤️

My one bone I have to pick with Suspicious Partner: Why include a shower scene and not show of JCW´s abs?
I am not saying you have to be as explicit as K2, but… ok I kinda am. Who could blame me?
