#SuspiciousPartner shaking up to be quite formulaic. So far, second leads are relegated to afterthoughts as we focus on solving the crime of the week and the romance marches through The Outline.
I think the male second lead at least is different than the norm. Otherwise, I can see how it’s formulaic but it’s formulaic done right: not boring with great chemistry with everyone.
Good chemistry and a few well placed jokes can go a long way toward making something watchable, but it can’t elevate a formulaic drama to greatness. I want greatness for JCW again.
I agree. Tbh I don’t see the hype for this show and while I’ll keep watching and somewhat enjoy it, there’s just too many cliches for me to be completely on board. Kind of disappointed in the writer 😭
Dammit, now I’m on the #FightMyWay Train too. Because I need to be watching 4 dramas a week live. This batch of dramas is really bursting me out of my slump.
I find that different sites do this occasionally …. then it disappears and things go back to how they were in a few days. I just assume they’re trying/testing things out to see what the response is. Who knows.
SK must pay their rank and file prosecutors more than the US does because JCW’s house in #SuspiciousPartner is ridiculous. And he has a lifesized stormtrooper in his bedroom! #Nerd!
Man, do they know how to make trailers for #Circle. If nothing else (and there’s a lot going right on this show), those things are perfectly put together.
LOL I didn’t even think of this!! Calling it now – the big reveal for Circle that it’s actually a commentary on social media and technology a la This Week, My Wife Will Have An Affair. XD
So it’s not just me then!! ….. I’ve seen more than a couple of IKEA items here and there in dramas lately.
I kid you not, just a couple of hours ago, I was going through the tv channels and there were a couple of kdramas on, and I recognized some desk lamps. I said to myself, “The IKEA lamps make their appearance once again!”
It’s all the shelves and tables and consoles that I keep seeing. Basically, if you’re under 40 and can afford an apartment in Kdrama, you get an IKEA apartment.
Just Finished Bingeing Dear My Friends. Why is this only 16 eps? Now all these amazing actors are going back to being wasted in bit roles. I want o read Wan’s book now.
Every single actor and actress in the show had a scene where I just jawdropped and thought “wow, what a performance.” Just the minute control of the face, of the body, the timing of when to look away and when to stare dead on.
I’m the kind of person who laughed in Titanic when everyone was dying and we’re all supposed to be sobbing but DMF made me tear up like no tomorrow. I went through quite a few kleenex on this one.
And that reminds me, I’m also hoping we’ll get to see the Beanies we follow on a dashboard of some sort, so we don’t miss each other’s posts and updates.
Kdrama Trend: We’ve transcended PPL to making characters work for the PPL. Will Papa John’s be the new Subway? What DO they put on their pizza and why does it look so thick? #SuspiciousPartner
lol Papa John’s was legit my favourite back in Cali about 10-12 years ago, but i went back recently and the taste wasn’t the same as I remembered it, so it’s funny that I see it popping up now in k-dramas. (I used to love their garlic butter)

YouTube’s been doing that to me. I’m like, watching K-Pop, so you’d think the ads would be in Korean if not English, but nope.

Kdrama Pitch: It’s an office dramady, meet-cute romance set on a street in Seoul between managers of a Subway and a Bonchon.

Totally a fan of the new Fan Wall feature, but we need the option to post on the actual fan wall page, not just thru our profiles. 🙂

Honestly, that’s what I thought the Fan Wall was for–for Beanies to post on each other’s profiles. 😅 I like how it is, though.

That would be neat. 🙂 I meant the main fan post stream on the Beanies page. All the posts you make on your fan wall get streamed on the fan post page.
