I refuse to believe Hyun Jae fathered Ji Hoon, not because of potential romance with Woo Seung but because he shows zero interest in Bo Hee in both timelines…..get a paternity test done asap
I’ve had my doubts for long time when Hyun Jae knew about Ji Hoon being his son, he didn’t really care much. Now with the flashback of the unknown girl told Gwang Jae about Bo Hee’s pregnancy with Hyun Jae’s baby, it seems even more suspicious. It might be that only Bo Hee had a crush on Hyun Jae, when they didn’t have any sort of special relationship. It could be that only Gwang Jae assumed it to be true when Bo Hee never told anyone who’s the father.
They could’ve skipped the whole my dad killed your dad/No he didn’t part….so much needless angst…. and focused on our amnesiac killer from the start….so much wasted potential in that story
yeah, well. the fact that it was slowly ticking on the background and we didnt even know is pretty effective, perhaps slow burned would have killed the shock moment. but agree on the dads, plus the truth was too predictable, I was kind of just waiting it out until they show it.
I think my main gripe is that the writers sort of disrupted a flawed yet extremely lovable couple by throwing them in an impossible situation. The story of the two father’s, its too much of a burden for both Ji Wook and Bong Hee. Heck it is too much for a stable couple. And Ji Wook and Bong Hee are at nascent stage of courtship. There was no need. They could’ve skipped it yet there would have been enough material at hand if they had instead focused on criminal lawyers and their struggle with a clever murderer with amnesia. In reality, no relationship would survive in this sort of situation where a family got torn into pieces by indirect action of one person. It makes me mad at the writers.
Kim Tae Ri and Lee Byun Hyun…….but Kim Tae Ri is my age and there\’s this 20 years gap, I am not saying it can\’t be done but I hope they don\’t side step the age gap and address it properly
You were right, I now realized she is a lead… for some reason I mistakenly thought she was different actress.
I wish she was more close to LBH’s age…but at least acting in this drama would be top-notch
I don\’t know what the deal with upvote, downvote is and why is everyone writing about it but here I am patiently waiting for Forest of Secret Recap to be up, I have so much to say…so much
Bae Doona is love but need I say that, I mean she is born to rock any role she takes….I am so glad that dramaland is giving me strong female characters to root for be it shades of white or black
Lastly, Shin Hye Sun, best decision of your life was to take on Eun Soo…..you go girl, I don\’t care if you\’re a villain or not, thank you for not playing it safe like many popular actresses
Ridiculous, its not like people like her get good offers easily despite having good acting ability. Most go to the likes of Suzy, Yoona and the popular lot.
Maybe because he has the cleanest image in the prosecution right now? I mean, because of the interview he did after the first crime, citizens think highly of him so if he is the one to lead the investigation, they can have some credibility. Besides, he can still find a way to frame him after, while he is handling evidences.
Secret Forest, Shi Mok, you ruthless bastard, the girl could\’ve died and Eun Soo, you\’re smart but totally crazy, only one normal is Yeo Jin who is by Shi Mok thankfully
Glad that you’re mentionning FOS. I just finished watching the episode and I want to talk about it so badly. LOL
In fact, I particulary want to talk about Eun Soo. I get the impression that because people like YJ more, she is getting some hate for ridiculous reasons. Peole find her creepy, horrible, stupid (I was actually shocked because I thought it was clear that she was smart) and so one. And honestly I was more impressed by her dertermination than anything else in this episode. So I was wondering if I was biased or something like that because I can’t really understand them.
I am really loving all the characters here, even the bad ones because they are all doing a good job at their own way.
No, I really wouldn’t say that she is stupid, just reckless. That people think she is creepy I can understand a bit….at least she is really suspicious. It’s difficult to tell how deep she is involved in this. Her frantic reactions at times kind of worry me cause they show that she has something to hide and I don’t know what. For that reason I can’t really say that I appreciate her advances towards Shi Mok. He is “emotionless” and all but I’m still worried that she could cloud his judgement of her and then turn out to be actually a co-conspirator or something. He is suspicious of her now but I could see her maybe swaying him enough in a crucial moment and then betraying him. Or she could be actually just sweet and maybe have something to hide but is not be directly involved in any of this and is truly loyal to him. Difficult to tell.
I don’t find her creepy but it’s true, the way she handled SDJ would shock more than one. For now, even if she is really suspicious, I don’t think yet that she has something to hide but that she desperately want to get her revenge. It seems like, she is not interested by justice, she only want the chief prosecutor and his father in law to take the fall for the murders in order to avenge her dad and it’s kind of disturbing sometimes because she appears too self centered. Shi Mok said it himself, if she is willing to put her own life on the line for this case that means she could easily sacrifice other persons.
I don’t think so as far as Shi Mok is concerned, he is really in control of his emotions and he doesn’t trust her one tiny bit so I can’t imagine Eun Soo swaying him. But like you said, difficult to tell. I can’t help but doubt my theories and make new ones all the time. LOL
I know its hard to root for her given she is reckless but calling her stupid is stretching it too far. She almost always knows Shi Mok and his his intentions behind his actions. I am loving her dark, shady and slightly manipulative character. How many women character in dramaland actually have layers and are driven by their own agenda in stead of one sided love, think about it, close to zero. I am rooting for her to not be a villain but I am enjoying her trajectory. And I do believe the shipping war is ridiculous. Yeo Jin is a compelling character that has all the winning characteristics of an ideal protagonist. It helps that Bae Doona is also excellent. Its easy to like her and admire her. In terms of complexity, Eun Soo is richer…no offense to anybody. Also people tend to overlook the flaws of male protagonist in most cases. Shi Mok does questionable things as well that are down right scary. So the slightly gender biased harshness that I’ve seen online is off putting. But I take it with a grain of salt. The show is pre-produced, thankfully.
“I know its hard to root for her given she is reckless but calling her stupid is stretching it too far.” I couldn’t say it better. Almost agree about everything you said. Just that I would love to see her be the mastermind behind all of this but I doubt so.
Talking about Shi Mok’s actions, I think I caught sight of a smirk when Eun Soo was leaving his apartment on episode 8 and it left me perplexed ’cause I don’t know what to make of this but nobody is talking about it so I am thinking that maybe I am over-analyzing things.
By the way, does the show being pre-produced mean they can’t change anything? Not even replace some scenes?
Some people are more charismatic on screen and have stronger presence, Yoon Shi Yoon is one of them, sorry Kim Min Jae, Its very hard rooting for your cute little love story with Hyun Jae around
