Beanie level: Eunuch in drag

Can somebody cast Jeon So Min opposed Jo Jung Suk…..Please….Hyeri is not good, Reply PD may have worked magic but she has very little to offer on her own acting wise

So I leveled up…. Eunuch in drag y’all 😎😀😋

From the guy who lacks emotions and friends to the guy who cherishes their memories and smiles at them…Hwang Shi Mok Gomsa has come a long way in Secret Forest 💖💕

He is progressing slowly, but he is learning to let people into his life. I can’t imagine the progress he would make if there is a second season!

And he really did practice smiling with YJ’s drawing, bc that last smile definitely lasted longer than any others.

And Cockroaches do survive…….Seo Dong Jae, consistent character till the end………Secret Forest is weird, this cockroach grew on me……God this sounds wrong

One more thing Secret Forest got right is that product placement for Giorgio Armani, this is how you do it subway, not by forcing your way into every drama under the sun

I had the exact same thought!
    That was real smooth

    You mean that lipstick?

Thanks to the lipstick, I get one last giggle and lol inducing moment between Shi-Mok and Yeo-Jin at the pojangmacha. Shi-Mok questioned her lips and Yeo-Jin puckered her lips made me 😂😂😂

I guess I’ll be forever thankful to Giorgio Armani. 😄

I giggled when YJ received a bouquet and the crew teased her cause all oppas are like that to their dongsaengs.

I was grinning ear to ear and my colleagues were giving me strange looks…..I regret nothing 😂😂😎

Well done. It fit into the plot so well.

But Secret Forest, for a character driven show with excellent writing and budget that did justice to the end product and stellar cast, it will remain at the top of my Korean Drama list

Secret Forest wasn\’t conventional crime thriller, the world wasn\’t infinitely better by the end neither did all the bad guys pay as much as I wanted them to

5

Secret Forest: The end was bittersweet, it mirrored our very flawed legal system of justice pretty well to the point I feel that we lost nearly as much as we won by the end

Yoon Gomsa, why must I cry watching a crime drama and feel so hollow….Secret Forest 😖😭….it hurts

How I wished for the two ladies to actually share screen space together more in Secret Forest….Bae Doona and Shin Hye Sun, my ultimate girl crush 💖

Shin Se Kyung has only three expressions in the whole Bride of the Water God drama, was she always this bad and Krystal has only one, yep, dropping it.

I’d been avoiding saying bad things about SSK acting since a lot of beanies seem to love her, but yeah, to me she’s lack of expressions, even when her character sad, I don’t feel any sincerity in it at all, so I don’t feel sorry or sympathize the character. I always try to give her a chance by still watching her dramas since she always pair with great actors, but she disappoints me every time. I dropped Blade Man because of her though I love LDW so much and put on hold for a long time to finish Sensory Couple. I suffered to finish Fashion King and When A Man Loves. And now, I don’t really feel excited to watch BotWG because of her (and Krystal too), but I will keep on watching it slowly for NJH and IJH.

I am not hating…….I mostly never cared enough for her but I tried to watch Bride of Watergod today and most actors aren’t doing it for me except for Im Joo Hwan, Haebak isn’t what I expected either. I like NJH in comic and fish out of water scenes but Nam Joo Hyuk looks less Godly and lacks gravitas which Im Joo Hwan has in plenty despite being a half God….I expected fireworks when Haebak confronted Huey but there was none…….Mura is plain irritating and prissy like a full of angst, teenage second lead and Bi Ryum is kinda okay……Its a shame really, I think this show has a lot to offer but the acting is mostly below average or average from most key players

I’m not hating her, it’s just that her kind of acting is really not my cup of tea. I totally get what you mean by BotWG situation, but I kinda lower my expectation while watching this drama and ignore all the flops which is why I can still stick thru with this drama. Anyway, kudos to you for making up your mind to drop this drama. It’s been a hard decision for me whenever I want to drop one drama.

Thank God it’s not only em who feels that way about SSk here. 😅 I’m still watching this For habaek, but song know how long I can stick through.

Whenever I watch SSK in a drama I get reminded that I know lots of people in real life around me with the same emotionless faces.

I know it’s not good for an actor even if it is normal, because you can’t sympathize with the character, but I still can’t hate her. More like I pity her thinking maybe her face truly isn’t capale of moving much and it has nothing to do with her acting abilities.

Or maybe it is because those people around me are close loved ones and I constantly get reminded of them while watching her!

Peter Han – Goodbye (굿바이 잘가요) Secret Forest OST
Like the birds that flew high above
So high that I can’t reach, did you leave too?
The sunset turns red with a sad sound
Was that your goodbye?Time keeps ticking
Getting so far that I can’t hold onto it anymore
Am I waiting for your voice
To tell me it’s alright?Where are you going?
    Don’t leave me here
    Stay, just for a moment
    Beautiful you, goodbye
What is making you go so far away?
Why are you going to that lonely place
If you can take your time?Where are you going?
    Don’t leave me here
    I’m sorry, I’m sorry
    I miss you, goodbye

I wish Secret Forest recaps came faster…13 and 14 are episodes that gives you very different feelings, honestly I don\’t recall what I felt watching 13 as 14 just threw them all out

4

I also need recaps. I want to analyze everything. I feel every scene had a purpose. I really like ShiMok but god Lee Chang Joon is a great layered character mixed of so much complexities.

Ahn Jin is also a mystery, she clearly knows what Bok Ja is but doesn\’t try to oppose her actively….when Ahn jin said, \”We can\’t work together because I don\’t take what doesn\’t belong to me\”

1
1

I always wondered why she doesn’t stop Bok Ja. She has the authority to do it. It could be because of Chairman Ahn. She didn’t object that much since she saw him and Bok Ja dancing together. However she knows that she should not stay by her side.

I am very confused by Bok Ja when she talks to Ahn Jin, its almost feels as if Ahn Jin is the reason she is doing what she is but can\’t quite become her

0
3

Yes Bok Ja respects Ah Jin the most because she’s different from other rich people. She had a hard life like Bok Ja so maybe when she did the background check she felt a connection.

    0
    1

But Ahn Jin kept her sense of self and dignity intact mostly through out everything, Bok Ja is being swallowed by it, her companions will abandon and stab her at this rate

I agree. After knowing Bok Ja’s motivation to be rich and to control everything we will truely understand what’s going on on her mind.

Listen Secret Forest, don’t you dare make this guy end up alone at the end, let him have one good friend by his side……..he has lost enough

Omgg! I’ve been anticipating this OST
The feels though. I wanna cry again, this was played after ES died. >.<

I honestly didn’t realize Eun Soo meant so much to him, I will not categorize in what she had meaning. I am not sure Shi Mok knows himself but he really might have tried to protect her in his own odd ways

      1

I think you’re right. I feel like Shi-mok will only realize this now that she’s gone.

I’d only listened to the korean ver.
