Ah, I just looked love rain up on dramabeans to see what I could find, and with the benefit of hindsight this article (and comments) announcing Seo In-Guk’s casting is hilarious 😂
Wow so much hate! And nothing has changed even now… any idol casting news is met with so much prejudice! And it’s not like all of them are bad! And I don’t even think SIG is considered an idol!
Made me laugh a lot though… he has proven the nay-sayers wrong big time!😁
It’s not great, but it’s not bad either. To me, Love Rain is something that I could watch without feeling annoyed and I did enjoy watching it back then when it aired. Plus, the OSTs are all good and I still listen to them until now.
I really liked Love Rain! Kim young Kwang was also in it and he’s matured so much in his acting as well! But yes, Seo In Guk did well too. We still watch scenes from this adorable show.
He was her original chebol heir crush, although he was engaged to someone else at the time, and she didn’t know he was rich until later. You know, all the good drama tropes were embodied in him!

I want to watch it because of him but I have heard the show as such is quite bad even though he is good in it..

I didn’t mind it. But I did watch it in my early K-drama days, I’m not sure what I would think if I watched it again now 🙂

I liked the first part of 2012 when it was light but then it went all noble idiocy

I’d forgotten he was in it too. Was he a friend of Yoona’s?

I didn’t realize they were the same first, took me a few episodes and Wikipedia to find out.

I’ve tried watching Love Rain recently and I cringed so much when I saw Seo In Guk in the first part!
