Last year as a med intern I went through a bout of exhaustion/craziness that ended with 1/2 my hair an aqua colour, I wanna go crazy again but there be “rules” of respectability as a practicing dr.
Ha, I feel this. I had bout of stress after I took the bar that resulted in a strategically placed hot pink streak in my hair. Part to the right for respectability, part to the left to reveal my true self.
yes i want to do that… for now I semi- satisfied my hair colour changing needs by going two shades lighter jajaja… I think I change hair colours as often as the idols… I’ve been all kinds of red, all shades of brown, some magenta/blue/aqua for added colour here and there and now I’m going through a blonde phase that I really want to add pink to.
I would love to dye my hair that lavender/grey colour that everyone has these days, but sadly that won’t stand in court. I also love platinum/white but I’m a tad too tan to pull it off. I’ve settled returning to my “roots” and gone back to being a (bottle)redhead. (I naturally have dark brown/black hair, but I had some kind of red hair for the better part of a decade.) I always feel like my best self with red hair. I will always regret not going full pink in uni — though maybe I’ll save that for my old age, and be a badass granny.
I’ve long since forgotten my natural hair colour but it was something along the lines of light golden brown.. sort of. the only colour I didn’t like at all was black…I ended up looking very sallow… maybe even snape-ish
After about 15 years of dying my hair I took a two year break from chemical colour and I decided that while I don’t hate my natural colour, it’s also not my favorite. I did try black for six months or so during the redhead decade but it never felt as right as the red did. Granted, I used to have long hair and now it’s super short, so I may give it another shot, but with a blue-black rather than a brown-black.
I also have a tendency to play with style/ length as much as colour. I had 6 different styles in 2014 as I worked my way from a bob to a pixie.
