    Let us hope it gets nominated. It would be a first for Korea. Even better if it wins the Academy Award.

          Interesting. I think it’s so funny what gets flagged. You can actually swear, but using certain innocuous words send it into a tizzy!

      Fingers and toes crossed. Yes it would be the first if it wins.
      It’s still showing 4 times a day at the University theatre here. Impressive for a foreign film.

        Not just if it wins. Korea has never even been nominated! So here is hoping it even has a chance to compete!!!

          I misunderstood sorry.
          Korean films have more luck in Cannes than the Oscar with just one category to compete in.

            Both are very prestigious. But, the Academy Awards are US based, so as you say the international Cannes Film Festival offers a much larger range of awards to win than just Best Foreign Language. I am hoping to get a chance to see it before it leaves theatres. If it does get nominated I will look forward to the Oscars even more than I do now!! 😬
