LOL but I still failed one of my classes! it was hell, especially without dramas to escape the stress. it paid off a little bit since I didn't fail *both* classes but exercising self-control is freaking difficult omg.

If you're already registered (which you are!), you don't have to do anything, we will send you emails shortly with the sign-up code. (We just... uh... have to put out some fires first before we get around to the emails!)

My problem too.. sometimes I wonder if Viki only cares about so-called first-world countries that they forget the other countries also have huge kdrama communities.

I live in Europe, in a so-called first-world country and still we get nothing when it comes to TV-streaming. Even Netflix has a really poor selection here. Unless you live in the US, you're pretty much doomed when it comes to streaming *eyeroll* As if the internet wasn't global...

@kaybee so you can't stream anything? Do you *illegally* download dramas or something? Because well, that's one way for me to sustain drama addiction. The internet here is sooo slow, you'd be lucky to watch anything more than few seconds without buffering. Since I can't stand buffering and streaming legally from Viki, DF and the likes aren't available, I have to resort to download.

I don't do anything illegal :) Thankfully internet is pretty good in my country, so no buffering problems worth speaking of except on rare occasions.

The country I live in is considered first-world (despite literally being omitted from many maps), but here too 90% of viki's "content is not available in your region", making the non-arrival of any activiation email irrelevant.

Where do you guys actually living at? I'm in indonesia and although i still can't watch goblin there, vikipass still had quite lot of kdramas (not to mention taiwanese, c-drama, and j-dorama) and their timed-comment are great (except for those who keep nagging for fast subtitle)

Hallyu hasn't really spread to Scandinavia yet, hence we're not a priority when it comes to licensing. But yes, it's a great site. It's not their fault that I live in a tiny country with hardly any kdrama fans lol ^^

Middle Earth come Narnia come New Zealand :D we didn't even get Netflix till like last year and still a lot of videos on the internet (You Tube, where ever) are "unavailable in your country" ((It's the elves fault))

I don't normally do the timed comment thing, because often I'm watching on my smart TV, but SOMETIMES the timed comments are better than the actual story. I'm watching the latest Chris Wu C-drama (The Perfect Match) and the fan comments are GOLD.

Have you tried installing a free vpn there are many in the play store. It basically sets your internet as if it's in another region, like I'm in East Africa but i set it to Canada so access to anything and everything. Ps.The app has to be switched on when data is on for it to work.

Oooh this sounds like fun! Um, do we get the pass immediately we sign up? Cuz I signed up an hour ago and other than my activation email, I haven't gotten nada. Also how global are we talking about? Cuz I live in Lagos, Nigeria and I still moan the fact that I don't have Hulu, even though I cheer on the fact that we've finally gotten Netflix!

Pretty sure Viki is available in my country, Malaysia. Waiting for that email. Thank you Dramabeans for the one month free access to Viki. Got to see Whisper ep1 and 2 via this or wait for the episodes to reair on my local cable channels, as I missed the airing and my mum deleted the recording I had when the drama initially aired.

Try switcing to Blog View and then doing it. That worked for me. For some reason, nothing happens when you try on the "main page" view. It's a new site, so I'm sure there are still little bugs like those.

I think vikipass users don't get blocked from region locked shows. Try typing "vikipass" in google and reading about it. I'm pretty sure that's the case...

Thanks to the DB Team for its hardwork and for taking care of us!
I'm still confused by the new appearance and have yet to get used to it, but love all the new features that allow us to interact with others beanies and keep track of our activities!
It's very helpful to improve the experience of browsing the site and have a better understanding of the numerous ongoing discussions, that i was frustrated to miss.
However i'm already suffering from nostalgia: i had a strong attachment to the old layout if only because its outdated appearance gave me the feeling to be closer to the community, in the sense where having less ways or possibilities to communicate with people made it more a personal investment to come back and read the posts, while now all i have to do is set up my notifications.
I hope it won't change too much the way i relate to the site, though i don't worry too much: everything will probably become natural over time...

Girlfriends! Already a viki subscribers here. And i actually hold a vikipass by subtitling some dramas from/to english/bahasa.
Just a friendly reminder that viki subtitle is done by someone like us, volunteers, who are not paid by viki (except after some lines, they rewards us with 6-months vikipass-like mine). So please refrain from commenting "where is the subtitle" in timed-comment like 5 minutes after the show actually uploaded. Even some machines need buffering time.
I am very aware that our community here is as cozy as a coffeeshop, but maybe some people not aware of this viki "condition".
