Oooh, been hoping for a podcast for quite some time now, and it's finally here!! Thank you!! Loved hearing your thoughts about the various actors/actresses, especially when put into context of dramas they've done. Seems I'm missing out though, coz I've realised just how many of the mentioned dramas I've not yet watched - must do more dramathoning!

Speaking of requests, I'd love to hear more of your thoughts on many of the side characters - maybe dedicate an entire podcast to them (the ones who have gained popularity as well as the lesser known ones, but have still made a lasting impact). After years of watching dramas, I love it when I recognise talents that have starred in multiple other dramas. Just a shame that I don't always remember their names! Need to work on that, seriously!

Some of my recent faves have been the duo that starred as Seo In Guk's friends in High School King of Savvy - one of many reasons I love re-watching that drama! I love it when they crop up in other shows, like the more recent W, Bring it on Ghost...Pride and Prejudice was a good one too.

JB & GF, I really like listening to you discuss the technical side of drama production. I can recognize bad acting but I like it when you highlight how writing and directing influence the outcome. I would be interested in a podcast where you discussed dramas that were so lacking that you chose to drop them or dramas that were lacking and you chose to stick it out. I find that I'm more resentful of dramas that suck but I choose to stick it out rather than dramas that I drop. (I wish I hadn't pushed through all PJ Hobbit's or I had been in the editing booth.) On the other had there are some where an actor will cause me to stick it out and I'm OK with that, or some writing crack will keep be engaged.

Hmmmm, Dickens is great but sometimes a Harlequin fun.

This is my first dramabeans podcast and I have to say I love your voice and I would like to make a request.

I have been a kdrama fan since 2012 and one constant thing I have noticed is the comparison between the 3 kims (kim so hyun,kim sae ron and kim yoo jung).

I would love it if you talk about this comparison and the difference between this 3 teenage actresses.

I couldn't agree more about what you guys said about joo won. i remember watching him in baker king, ojakgyo brothers and gaksital, and i thought that he was one of those actors with cool/smart persona but than i saw him in 1n2d... turns out he's 180 degrees opposite from what id expected. he honestly surprises me every time with his acting. And i respect him so much for being very humble and hardworking. I'm still shocked at the fact that he dedicated his 6 months to learn violin and conducting for nodame.**
Joo won is definitely one of my all time favourite actors.

Park bo gum has been on my radar ever since he was in reply 1988. He's still just 22 so i think he has a lot of potentials. his smile though <3

As for the next/future podcasts, can you please talk about the 3 young ladies: kim yoo jung, kim soo hyun and kim rae won. About how their acting is different/similar and their strong points and weaknesses.
Also yoo ah in's performance in his movie, veteran.
And Song joong ki. By the way is it just me who isnt blown away by his acting? i admit he's a great actor and he's very charming but i do think that people give him too much credit. *beanies pleas don't kill me*

Also yoo seung ho please. I absolutely love him as a person and as a actor but its such a shame that he's still got that babyface and small physique. i know hes still just 23 but i really just wanted him to be able to come out of his 2 years enlistment and take on grown up roles instead of still acting as a high schooler or taking on noona romances :/ Having said that I still love him to bits and im looking forward to his future projects.

Its always extra nice when you talk about things that you want to talk about rather than feeling like you have to talk about every show because you have to take it off the checklist?

And you all really should do a Live stream. We can all pitch in and it would be one big drama party. You could do a year end impressions kind of thing? Where general impressions on the year's shows, on how kdramaland is shaping up, on future, on actors and also our questions too!!

And its always nice to hear your take on general topics surrounding drama : the ratings dip or rise, changing drama landscape, online phenomenon keeps getting bigger and bigger, the award shows, your take on the media news, PPL - all the behind the scenes stuff of a actual drama. I would really love both your take on that!

Ooh! Han Groo and the cast of Moon Lovers please!

Listening about Joo Won who couldn't remember how he did it because he was too tired while filming Gaksital reminded me of what Kim Seul-gi said. She said while filming Splash splash love, she was so tired that she fell asleep on one romantic scene where Yoon Doo-jun was on top of her on the ground. She said people found out she fell asleep because she didn't say her lines after Yoon. lol (or feeling sorry for overworked actors/actresses)

I really love this format of talking thru actors/actresses especially in recent dramas. Died laughing at Taecyon's abilities and his uncanny resemblance to SSH (got the acting down pat too!). Although I have to say that he did a much better job than Suzy, who I cannot connect at ALL. I was so willing to give her the benefit of the doubt, but when it's a melodrama and you can feel the angst from everyone except the main actress, then we have a problem. I gave up after 15 episodes and will read the recaps from here on for UF.

And can we talk about the success/not success of pre-producing kdramas with Korean audiences? Why it worked so well with DoTS and even to an extent CITT, and not UF or even SH:R as of this writing? I'm hoping KES will work her magic again with Goblin and Gong Yoo, coz I need him in another great drama after Coffee Prince (and no, Big didn't happen).

I'm also watching Mirror of the Witch just now, and I wanted to hear more about the drama during the podcast, since what you said about the actors was spot on.

You probably have talked about Gong Hyo Jin before...but I'm curious to know if you both think she's in the same group as Lee Bo Young? What group would you place Kim Ha-Neul and Ha Ji-Won in--cos I tend to lump them into the same [not-quite-labelled] cluster??

What about Hyun Bin? Is he in the same league as Soong Joong Ki?

Five years. Five years, SO many dramas, a still-superficial knowledge of the Korean language, and Google have finally brought me to the point where I can listen to your podcasts like I'm hanging out with a few friends, laughing at in-jokes, knowing who most of the people and dramas you talk about are. I apologize if this was stated already as a suggestion for a live request line during your podcast (I didn't read all the previous comments >.<); I read that some people suggested livestream. As an alternative, pose a question on twitter, maybe with some sort of hashtag or just collect replies, and then you could scroll through suggestions before/during your recording. This way, you get a live, controlled input without needing to change too much of your normal recording setup.

I just finished signal (I don't know what took me so long to pick it up....it's bloody brilliant) and quickly tried to find out more about the director and writer. I was surprised to to see what other works they had under their belt..especially the director. After that I thought that I would love to hear you talking about certain PDs and writers in more detail. I always thought it was interesting when you talked about this, like with the writer for Wonderful season or the writer for Dots.
