Alex publishes an essay collection
by javabeans
Last year, Clazziquai singer Horan put out an essay collection; now her bandmate Alex is coming out with an essay collection of his own, a food-related book called Alex’s Spoon. (The tagline under the title reads, “A food diary of a sweet guy living a delicious life.”)
This shouldn’t come as too much of a stretch for the vocalist, or be a surprise for his fans; Alex was reportedly a chef in his pre-singer days, and not long ago hosted a food program on Japanese television called Delicious Korea.
Although food is the main theme, Alex’s Spoon also contains essays describing childhood family memories, his thoughts about making music, and a look back at his love relationships. The book includes photographs, recipes, recommended restaurants, and so forth.
Alex is currently promoting the song “Tell Yourself,” and recently gave a solo concert at Akasaka Blitz in Japan on September 19. The book Alex’s Spoon will be published on September 23 — which, incidentally, is the same day that Yonsama‘s own food and culture book, Journey in Search of Korea’s Beauty, will be released.

Ooo...I never knew he was a chef before debut. That's wonderful! I guess he is the total package: the looks, voice, and now that he can cook!
Yes, the latest album is really good. I look forward to hearing more about this book.

Geez if only they came out with bilingual editions....
Yonsama's would be interesting from a Korean Cultural aspect. But then again that is not the real selling point is it? It's Yonsama. BTW Yonsama you really really need a haircut pronto. Even if you are using it to channel Kung-Fu for the cover for yr book. It's done now so please cut it.
Alex's would be great for the yumminess.....food and otherwise. hehe
Re: Mishane LMAO! It is probably not the best shot to use of Alex :P

Oh, he must be a good cook!
Although, I think the cover would have been a lot better without the noodle coming out and the blurred chopstick. You can't even tell what it is unless you looked closely at it.

@6 kitipan -
The book is listed for people in u.s. on the korean american on line book store web page below:
http://www.aladdin.co.kr/shop/wproduct.aspx?ISBN=8961889524
They have an english web site hanbooks.com also, but, if i remember correcly, doesn't list much, so you have to ask for thing, and it always costs more than the korean web site.
